F un, interactive Easter card with windmill sails that spin using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of watercolor wash blue and green design from Flowering Fields 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so you get mostly light blue in the upper right corner
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" of rows of orange and yellow colored tiny tulips in rows in field design from Flowering Fields 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. cut so the tulips are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 2-1/8" x 2-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 4-1/4" square from Basic White Thick Cardstock
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut along the top long edge of the strip of orange and yellow tulips designer paper so you cut along the top edge of the top row of tulips.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the cut designer paper tulips strip on the bottom of the horizontal large designer paper rectangle with blue in the upper right corner.
Mount the "Happy Easter" sentiment from the Celebrating You Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the cut designer paper strip on the right side.
Now, adhere the cut designer paper strip in place on the stamped designer paper rectangle. Then, adhere the stamped and layered designer paper rectangle to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Pick out the large, open windmill building die from the Windmill Fields Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Pumpkin Pie rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed windmill building die from the Windmill Fields Dies. Put it on top of the Pumpkin Pie rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Pumpkin Pie (orange) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the detailed windmill building cut out. Adhere it to the top of the solid Crumb Cake windmill building cut out.
Pick out the large, detailed windmill sails die from the Windmill Fields Dies. Put it on top of the Basic White Thick square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces. Keep the square with the sails cut out of it to use in a later step.
Place the layered windmill building cut out on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Place the windmill sails cut out on top of it so the hole in the center of the sails lines up with the hole in the top of the detailed windmill building. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to poke a hole through the Crumb Cake layer of the windmill cut out.
Pick out a small, white, round brad from the Round & Square Brads.
Insert the prongs of the brad through the hole in the top of the windmill building and in the center of the windmill sails. Flip the windmill over and flatten out the prongs. You may need to bend them slightly down so they don't show on the sides of the windmill building top.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the layered windmill cut out with sails attached. Remove the protective backings and adhere to the card front as shown. Make sure the sails are completely on the card front so the card can be closed without bending the sails.
Pick out the long and medium cloud dies from the Windmill Fields Dies. Put both dies on top of the remainder of the Basic White Thick square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick if needed to remove the pieces.
Adhere the large cloud cut out to the front of the card as shown using Stampin' Seal. Then, adhere the small cloud cut out to the front of the card as shown using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.
