Mount the small sunflower with leaves image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block C. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. BEFORE STAMPING ON CARDSTOCK, press the inky stamp onto the Bumblebee Ink Pad to get it inked up with yellow ink as well. Stamp on the left end of the shimmery white rectangle so it is centered up and down and the leaves are pointing off to the left side.
Lay the stamped cardstock on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Unscrew the Water Painters with the fine and medium tips. Fill the barrels with water and screw the tips back in place.
Tip: The Water Painters unscrew in the opposite direction of what you'd expect.
Place the piece of stamped and heat embossed shimmery white cardstock on some Grid Paper to help protect your work surface.
Squeeze the lid of the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze the fine tip Water Painter to get some drops of water in the lid. Stir the ink and water together with the brush tip. Pick up some watery ink from the lid using the brush tip. Paint in the leaves and lightly swirl some green inky water on the upper right side of the shimmery cardstock as well. Get more watery ink on the brush tip as needed. Don't worry about cleaning the tip of the brush just yet.
Squeeze the lid of the Bumblebee Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze the medium tip Water Painter to get some drops of water in the lid. Stir the ink and water together with the brush tip. Pick up some watery ink from the lid using the brush tip. Paint in the petals of the sunflower and lightly brush some yellow inky water on the center and bottom edges of the right side of the shimmery cardstock. Get more watery ink on the brush tip as needed. Swipe the brush tip across some Grid Paper several times to remove most of the color.
Squeeze the lid of the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze the medium tip Water Painter to get some drops of water in the lid. Stir the ink and water together with the brush tip. Pick up some watery ink from the lid using the brush tip. Paint in the center of the sunflower and lightly brush some brown inky water in the center of the right side of the shimmery cardstock. Get more watery ink on the brush tip as needed.
Tip: When you are done clean the brush tip by swiping onto Grid Paper until no more color is coming off or run the brush tip under running water until no more color is coming off.
Squeeze the lid of the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad again to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze the fine tip Water Painter again to get some drops of water in the lid. Stir the ink and water together with the brush tip. Pick up lots of watery ink from the lid using the brush tip. Hold the tip of the Water Painter over the shimmery cardstock a couple of inches above. Tap with your finger near the tip end of the Water Painter to flick droplets of water onto the shimmery cardstock. Repeat until you have the coverage you want. Get more watery ink on the brush tip as needed. Set the watercolor washed shimmery cardstock to the side to dry.
Tip: When you are done clean the brush tip by swiping onto Grid Paper until no more color is coming off or run the brush tip under running water until no more color is coming off.
Insert the Cinnamon Cider rectangle into the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Bumblebee rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the Bumblebee rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the Bumblebee (yellow) side is facing up and you'll cut out half of the sunflower. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the detailed Bumblebee half sunflower cut out and adhere it to the bottom left corner of the dry embossed Cinnamon Cider rectangle so the petals are hanging down and the flat edge of the sunflower half is near the center of the cardstock.
If the heat embossed and watercolor washed shimmery white rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if you want.
Mount the "Thanks a bunch" or "Let's celebrate you" sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it on the heat embossed and watercolor washed shimmery white strip just to the right of the heat embossed sunflower. Make sure you leave room below the sentiment for the ribbon.
Adhere the heat embossed, watercolor washed, stamped shimmery white strip to the dry embossed Cinnamon Cider rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the top and the bottom edge covers the flat top of the half sunflower cut out.
Cut a 6" piece of Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the layered cardstock pieces so the bottom of the ribbon is even with the bottom edge of the shimmery white cardstock. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Cinnamon Cider rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Bumblebee card.
Cut an 8" piece of Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Slide the folded end of the ribbon under the ribbon on the card front so it is centered over the center of the half sunflower cut out. Tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the heat embossed and watercolored sunflower on the shimmery white strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small and medium gem from a sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the upper center and upper right sides of the shimmery white strip.
