Celebrate Sunflowers Dandy Birthday Card 2 |
B right and cheery birthday card using Stampin' Up! products including one that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2023.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mango Melody Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of grid of light orange blocks on darker orange background design from Dandy Designs 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/2" square of various small orange and pink flowers on white background design from Dandy Designs 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1/2" x 3-7/8" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 1" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the thin strip of Calypso Coral Cardstock to the bottom of the vertical orange blocks grid Dandy Designs Designer Paper so the left and right edges are even and the bottom edge is about 1/2" from the bottom
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the brush tip of the Dark Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends to color the ribbon. Allow to dry for a minute.
Lay the piece of colored ribbon across the matted designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it is centered over the Calypso Coral strip. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere it to the center of the Calypso Coral rectangle.
Adhere the matted designer paper rectangle with ribbon attached to the front of the Mango Melody card.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin white strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the small, rounded scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end.
Mount the "Let's celebrate you" sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block H. Carefully press the stamp to the edge of the open Calypso Coral Ink Pad so you ink up ONLY the words "celebrate you." Stamp the words in the center of the punched white strip.
Tip: If you prefer, you can cut the word "let's" off from the rest of the sentiment stamp using a sharp pair of scissors to make it easier to stamp using only the words "celebrate you."
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out strip to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the bottom of the card.
Pick out the large, detailed sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the square of small pink and orange flowers on white background of Dandy Designs Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Note: If you made the Celebrate Sunflowers Dandy Birthday Card 1, you should already have the detailed sunflower cut out from the designer paper and don't need to cut another one. Just use it instead.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the more solid center ring of the detailed sunflower cut out to adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered above the sentiment strip.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the brush tip of the Dark Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends to color the ribbon. Allow to dry for a minute.
Tuck one end of the colored ribbon piece under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side of the sentiment strip punch out. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 brass or champagne flower from a sheet of Flower Trinkets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the center of the sunflower as shown.
