P retty fun fold card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 7-3/4" and scored at 2-1/4"
- 2" x 4" of closely packed rows of tiny, four-petaled, very light yellow flowers on darker yellow background design from Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/8" square from Old Olive Cardstock
- 2 squares each 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3" square from Old Olive Cardstock, cut in half on a diagonal
- 3" square of closely packed rows of tiny, four-petaled, very light yellow flowers on darker yellow background design from Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut in half on a diagonal
- 3-1/2" square from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3-3/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 3-1/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Old Olive Cardstock
Fold the card on the score line so you have a 2-1/4" flap on the left side of the card.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the 3" vanilla squares.
Adhere the stamped white square to the inside back flap of the card so it is 3/4" from the top and 3/4" from the fold line on the left side.
If you haven't already done so, cut the 3" square of Old Olive Cardstock and the 3" square of Pansy Petals Designer Paper in half on a diagonal by lining up to points of the square on the cutting line of the Paper Trimmer and then cutting. You are using one triangle of each for this card. Keep the other triangles as scraps to use on future projects.
Adhere the designer paper triangle to the Old Olive triangle so all the edges line up.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive along both short edges of the back of the Old Olive triangle. Remove the protective backings and adhere the triangle to the upper right corner of the inside back of the card. Make sure there is NO adhesive along the long edge of the triangle or you won't be able to tuck the front of the card in to close it.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the brush tip of the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the ribbon. Allow to dry for a moment.
Lay the colored ribbon vertically across the vertical rectangle of Pansy Petals Designer Paper so it is about 3/4" from the left edge. Flip the designer paper over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Put Stampin' Seal on the back of the designer paper rectangle and remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape. Adhere the designer paper rectangle with ribbon attached to the front small flap of the card.
Mount the large sunflower image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the remaining vanilla square so some of the flower goes off the left and bottom edges.
Place the sunflower stamped square on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the petals of the sunflower and the very center of the center of the sunflower.
Use the Light and Dark Soft Suede Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the center of the sunflower.
Peel the protective backing off of the large Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Crushed Curry square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed sunflower die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the Crushed Curry square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Crushed Curry (yellow) side is facing up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now.
Before removing the protective backing from the detailed Crushed Curry sunflower cut out, figure out which way it and the stamped and colored sunflower on the vanilla square need to be oriented for them to line up.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the detailed Crushed Curry sunflower cut out and adhere it to the stamped and colored sunflower on the vanilla square so the petals all line up. Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off excess detailed sunflower cut out along the left and bottom edges.
Adhere the stamped and colored sunflower with detailed sunflower cut out attached to the Old Olive square.
Making sure that the sunflower is in the lower left corner, turn the matted squares upside down. Put two strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the right side of the back of the squares making sure they don't go past 3/4" in from the right edge.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and adhere the matted squares to the front of the small flap on the right edge. Make sure no adhesive goes over the edge of the flap or your card will be stuck shut. Make sure the vanilla square on the inside is completely covered. Get the left edge of the square as close to the right edge of the ribbon on the small flap as possible.
Mount the large leaf image from the Celebrate Sunflowers Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open large leaf die from the Sunflowers Dies. Put it on top of the stamped leaf on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the leaf image. Run through the machine.
Put a very small amount of Stampin' Seal on the base of the back of the leaf cut out. Adhere it to the lower right corner of the matted sunflower square so the bottom of the leaf tucks under the edges of the detailed sunflower cut out if possible and the tip and one edge of the leaf hang over the bottom right corner. Make sure NO adhesive goes past the edge of the square or your card will be sealed shut.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the large Old Olive rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out both of the leaf sprig dies from the Sunflowers Dies. Put them on top of the Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Old Olive (green) side is facing up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
One at a time, remove the protective backings from the backs of the leaf sprig cut outs. Adhere them to the front of the card so the bottoms of the stems are near the upper left corner of the sunflower square and they curve down over the top of the sunflower. Make sure NO adhesive touches the inside back flap of the card or your card will be sealed shut.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the brush tip of the Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the ribbon. Allow to dry for a moment.
Slide one end of the colored ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front near the top left corner of the sunflower square. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Pick out two Bumblebee Trinkets. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the trinkets to the front of the card. One should be on the designer paper triangle in the upper right corner of the card. The other should be over the bottom edge of the leaf in the lower right corner of the sunflower square.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large or medium Crushed Curry dot from the sheet of Playing With Patterns Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the sunflower image.
To keep the card closed, tuck the upper right corner of the matted center squares under the open edge of the designer paper triangle in the upper right corner.
