Candy Cane Season Falling Candy Canes |
F un and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
|
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Candy Cane Season Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "Be jolly!" sentiment from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the lower left side of the large white rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the left edge and about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge.
Mount the striped candy cane image from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it all over the bottom left, bottom, and right side of the large white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Rotate the orientation every so often. Let some of the images go off the sides of the cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the Real Red rectangle and then to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Re-ink the candy cane stamp with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it as close to the bottom of the smaller piece of white cardstock as possible.
Unlock the Candy Cane Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped candy cane into the punch and get it centered in the candy cane punching area. Punch. Keep both pieces of paper. Leave the punch unlocked.
Tip: If desired, use Paper Snips to trim off any excess white cardstock on the ends of the candy cane.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the candy cane punch out to the card front at a slight angle just to the right of the sentiment so the candy cane arches over the sentiment.
Mount the solid bow image from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp off onto Grid Paper one time. Then, WITHOUT re-inking, stamp it on the remaining end of the smaller piece of white cardstock so the ends of the bow are on the bottom.
Mount the outline bow image from the Candy Cane Season Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped bow image.
Holding the Candy Cane Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped bow into the punch and get it centered in the bow punching area. Punch.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow punch out to the center of the candy cane punch out.
Carefully peel up 3 rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
