Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" 5-1/2" of pink, purple, and light blue vintage fabric design from Woven Threads Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Rococo Rose Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3/4" x 2-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Woven Threads Designer Series Paper to the front of the Rococo Rose card in the center. There should be about 1/4" of Rococo Rose showing on the left and right sides.
Carefully adhere pieces of the Soft Suede washi tape from the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape to the left and right sides of the card front so they overlap the left and right edges of the designer paper. Trim off excess using Paper Snips as needed.
Pick out the rectangle die from the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Lightly spritz the Crumb Cake rectangle frame with water and insert into the rectangle Heirloom Frames 3D Embossing Folder. Line it up on the embossing portion of the folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Tip: I used a couple of Mini Glue Dots and adhered the center, solid rectangle cut out when using the rectangle die to the center of the smooth rectangle in the center of the embossing folder. This makes it easier for me to line up the rectangle frame inside the embossing folder.
Tip: You may need to use cardboard shims or the 3D Embossing Folder Plate with the embossing folder.
Mount the large, flat, open-wing butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes Set to Block C. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on the 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" strip of vanilla ardstock near one end.
Unlock the Butterfly Duet Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the butterfly image centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use the Seaside Spray Marker to color in some of the vanilla spaces on the wings of the large butterfly image punch out.
Slide the strip of Rococo Rose Cardstock into the unlocked Butterfly Duet Punch and punch out a large butterfly. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Paper Snips to cut the body out from between the wings of the Rococo Rose cardstock butterfly punch out.
Adhere the Rococo Rose wing cut outs to the back of the Rococo Rose butterfly punch out so the Rococo Rose cardstock shows just a bit on both sides.
Mount the small, flat, open-wing butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes Set to Block A. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the strip of vanilla cardstock near the bottom edge. Leave the stamp on the block.
Hold the unlocked Butterfly Duet Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the butterfly image centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Re-ink the small, flat, open-wing butterfly image on Block A with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other edge of the strip of vanilla cardstock.
Hold the unlocked Butterfly Duet Punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the butterfly image centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
If the frame piece is dry, proceed with the next step. Use a Heat Tool to speed up drying if needed.
Adhere the frame to the front of the card so it is centered side to side between the washi tape edges and is about 1/2" from the top edge.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the butterfly punch outs inside the frame to figure out the spacing.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the large, layered butterfly punch out to the center of the framed area.
Adhere the two small butterfly punch outs to the center of the framed area above and below the large butterfly punch out.
Mount the "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul" sentiment from the Butterfly Wishes Set on Block H. Use the brush tip of the Rococo Rose Marker to ink up ONLY the words "sweet friendship." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp in the center of the small vanilla strip.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 7/16" x 2-1/2". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is to the left side of the rectangle. Run through the tool.
Put the stamped sentiment rectangle cut out back on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Put the rectangle die back on top so it will cut off the other end of the vanilla strip leaving a small stitched rectangle cut out with the sentiment centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the bottom of the frame on the card front so it is centered over the bottom edge.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Rococo Rose 1/2" Gathered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at a slight angle over the bottom right corner of the frame.
