Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/2" of small Balmy Blue gingham pattern from Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 5-1/2" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 2-1/8" x 2-3/8" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Butterfly Gala Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Place a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
To make it easier to stamp the big and little butterflies separately, use Paper Snips to carefully cut one set of the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala Set apart.
If you don't want to cut your stamps apart, then you can just carefully ink up only the butterfly you want to stamp by pressing only it to the ink pad, but it is much easier if you cut them apart!
Mount the small butterfly you cut loose image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the bottom half of the Whisper White card front. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation every so often. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Ink up the small butterfly image on the block with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the bottom half of the Whisper White card front. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation every so often. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Adhere the strip of Gingham Gala Designer Paper to the very top of the stamped card front.
Mount the "a little note" sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the strip of Daffodil Delight.
Adhere the stamped Daffodil Delight strip to the front of the card so it is right underneath the designer paper.
Mount the large butterfly you cut loose image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Mount the solid, large, top wings image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and stamp it inside the top wings of the stamped large butterfly image.
Mount the solid, large, bottom wings image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and stamp it inside the bottom wings of the stamped, large butterfly image.
Mount the larger, solid butterfly body image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the large, stamped butterfly image.
Mount the smaller butterfly antennae image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad and stamp it on top of the body on the large, stamped butterfly image.
Adhere the stamped butterfly white rectangle to the the Balmy Blue rectangle and then to the front of the card on the left side so it is centered over the Daffodil Delight strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up two flower-shaped and one circle Daffodil Delight sequins from a sheet of Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front in the upper right corner of the designer paper in a rough triangle.
Cut a 3" piece of the Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at a slight angle in the bottom left corner of the large butterfly matted rectangle.
