Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 5" of small Highland Heather gingham pattern from Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/8" x 3-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Butterfly Gala Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "a little note" sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the large white rectangle.
Adhere the strip of Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper to the left side of the stamped white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
Mount the small and large outline butterfly image of your choice from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" x 3-1/8" white rectangle so the small butterfly is about 1/4" from the top. Clean the stamp using either the Simply Shammy or the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Carefully ink up only the small butterfly by pressing it to the corner of the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp the small butterfly so it is centered under the previously stamped big butterfly and about 1/4" from the bottom. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the large butterfly with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Don't worry if you also ink up some or all of the small butterfly. Stamp the large butterfly onto the long rectangle of white cardstock near one end.
Mount the small solid butterfly image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad and stamp it over the top of one of the previously stamped small butterfly images. Re-ink the stamp and stamp over the top of the other small butterfly image.
Mount the large, upper butterfly wings image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of one of the large butterfly wings already stamped. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it over the top of the other already stamped large butterfly wings.
Mount the large, lower butterfly wings image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it over the bottom of one of the large butterfly wings already stamped. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it over the bottom of the other already stamped large butterfly wings.
Adhere the stamped trio of butterfly images rectangle to the Balmy Blue rectangle and then to the front of the card so it is centered over the right edge of the designer paper strip and is about 7/8" from the top.
Unlock the Butterfly Duet Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the remaining large stamped butterfly into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Mount the larger butterfly body image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched out butterfly image.
Lightly crease the punched out butterfly on either side of the body and fold the wings up.
Use a thin line of either Fine-Tip Glue or Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the back of the body section to adhere the punched out butterfly image over the top of the large butterfly image already on the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a flower-shaped Highland Heather sequin from a sheet of Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the lower right corner of the matted trio of butterflies image on the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small pearl from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower-shaped sequin already on the card front.
