Bright Borders Embossed Flowers Wreath |
S oft and pretty thank you card using heat embossing and Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Bright Borders Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the dotted border with flowers in the points image from the Bright Borders Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white rectangle so the pointy edges are on the top and bottom edges.
Unlock the To The Point Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped image into the punching area and get it lined up. Punch.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Bright Borders Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb CakeInk Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the punched out label making sure the pointy edges of the border are on the top and bottom.
Rub the Embossing Buddy included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit all over the Crumb Cake rectangle.
If needed, ink up the un-inked Craft Ink Pad using the White Craft Ink Refill that comes with the pad. Or, add additional craft ink refill to the pad if you have used it before as the ink does tend to dry out.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the sentiment label punch out on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle. Mount the group of flowers image from the Bright Borders Set on Block B. Ink it up with the White Craft Ink Pad. Move the label punch out down slightly and stamp the flower on the upper left side. Remembering to re-ink the stamp each time, stamp the flowers around the label punch out, moving it out of the way as needed, to create a ring of flowers around the label punch out.
Lay the stamped rectangle in the center of the Powder Pal included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Sprinkle on some white powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder so it covers the entire image. Tap off excess powder.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool on the highest setting until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use the Crafting Tweezers included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to hold the cardstock while you are heating it so you don't burn your fingers.
Adhere the stamped and heat embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Petal Pink card.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Petal Pink 3/8" Scalloped Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Using strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive, adhere the piece of ribbon to the back of the sentiment label punch out so it sticks out on the left and right side by the same amount.
Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment label punch out with ribbon attached and adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered over the ring of white embossed flowers as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large Petal Pink pearls from a sheet of Blooming Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown on the heat embossed ring of flowers.
