Bouquet Blooms Matted Gatefold Card |
P retty gatefold card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 4-3/4" x 8-1/8" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-1/2" square from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 1/2" x 2-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Place a piece of Grid Paper on top of a Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink. As you are ready to stamp using the Bouquet Blooms Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the leaf image from the Bouquet Blooms Stamp Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Stamp it all around the edges of the large white rectangle, letting some of the images go off the sides of the cardstock and rotating the direction of the stamp frequently. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, but leave it on the block.
Tip: You don't have to stamp the center of the cardstock as you will be covering it later, just do the edges.
Ink up the leaf stamp with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it all around the edges of the large white rectangle, letting some of the images go off the sides of the cardstock, letting some overlap the previously stamped leaves, and rotating the direction of the stamp frequently. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp and put it away for now.
Tip: You don't have to stamp the center of the cardstock as you will be covering it later, just do the edges.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" rectangle of Soft Sea Foam.
Pick out the right angle edge framelit with leaves on the end and leaves in the squared off tab from the Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Place the piece of 4-3/4" x 8-1/8" Soft Sea Foam Cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the right angle edge framelit on top of it on the top end so the inside edge of the down piece is along the right edge of the cardstock and the top of the squared off tab is about 1/8" below the top of the cardstock. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the other right angle edge framelit with a flower top in the squared off tab from the Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Place the piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock back on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the right angle edge framelit on top of it on the bottom end so the inside edge of the up piece is along the right edge of the cardstock and the bottom of the squared off tab is about 1/8" above the bottom of the cardstock. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Place the piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with both ends cut on the Stampin' Trimmer so that the leaves are on the left side. Line up the straight edge of the leaf cut side with the 1-3/4" mark on the trimmer. Score the cardstock.
Place the piece of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with both ends cut back on the Stampin' Trimmer so that the flower tab is on the left side. Line up the straight edge of the flower tab side with the 1-1/4" mark on the trimmer. Score the cardstock.
Fold along the score lines and use the Bone Folder to get crisp, tight folds.
Unfold the cardstock and place it on top of the Grid Paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat so the leaves cut side is on the bottom with the fold making a mountain fold above it. Place a Post-It Note over the leaves that poke down from the edge of the cardstock to protect them from ink in the next step.
Mount the large, lined circle image from the Bouquet Blooms Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad and stamp it on the leaf flap so it almost touches the fold line at the top and is about 3/4" in from the left side. After stamping, remove the Post-It Note.
Mount the leaf image from the Bouquet Blooms Stamp Set on Block B again. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Stamp it a couple of times inside the partial circle as close to the top of the inside of the circle on the right side as possible. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it over the leaf cut outs on the bottom of the flap. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. It won't line up perfectly with the cut outs, but you can get it fairly close. Leave the stamp on the block.
Rotate the cardstock 90 degrees and place it on top of the Grid Paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat so the flower cut side is on the bottom with the fold making a mountain fold above it.
Re-ink the leaf stamp with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the flap at an angle so it appears to be coming out from the flower and pointing to the left slightly. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch and hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Insert the tiny strip of Whisper White Cardstock in the center of the guides on what is now the underside of the punch. Position the strip so it is just barely centered in the punching area and is evenly spaced from side to side. Punch.
Mount the "You're the best!," "Friend," or "thanks" sentiment from the Bouquet Blooms Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched strip of white so the notch is on the left and the sentiment is close to the notch.
Cut a 1-1/2" piece of the Very Vanilla/copper 1/8" ribbon from the Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack so one end is cut at a sharp angle.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the piece of ribbon to the back of the sentiment banner so the sharply angled end of the ribbon sticks out from the center of the notched end of the banner by about a 1/2".
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the sentiment banner and adhere the sentiment banner to the card front so it is even with the bottom of the leaf cut edge and the notched end is to the left and just covers the left edge of the stamped, partial circle.
Use the pencil to draw a small up arrow in the corner of the two small Daffodil Delight squares.
Mount the larger, single, 4-petal flower image (the one in the center of the circle image) from the Bouquet Blooms Set on Block B so the little tab molded into the photopolymer is pointing up on the block. Ink up the stamp with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it once on each of the squares of Daffodil Delight Cardstock so the arrows on the cardstock and the tab molded into the stamp are all pointing up. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the larger, matching four-petal flower framelit from the Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Place one of the stamped flower images on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the flower framelit on top so it is centered over the flower image. If you make sure the penciled up arrow and the tab built onto the framelit are all pointing up, it will be easier to line things up. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the other flower.
Use the pencil to draw a small up arrow in the corner of the small Flirty Flamingo square.
Mount the rose image from the Bouquet Blooms Set on Block B so the little tab molded into the photopolymer is pointing up on the block. Ink up the stamp with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the square of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock so the arrows on the cardstock and the tab molded into the stamp are all pointing up.
Pick out the matching rose framelit from the Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Place the stamped rose image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the rose framelit on top so it is centered over the rose image. If you make sure the penciled up arrow and the tab built onto the framelit are all pointing up, it will be easier to line things up. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the two yellow 4-point flowers and the pink rose to the front of the card on the top flap in an arc so they cover the right end of the sentiment banner and the right side of the partial stamped circle.
Fold the card closed and hook it closed by sliding the flower tab between the two sets of cut out leaves. The flower tab flap should be on the bottom of the card.
Put SNAIL Adhesive all over the back of the card. Adhere it to the center of the stamped white rectangle matted to the Soft Sea Foam. Make sure the larger flap with the leaves cut out is on top.
Mount the large, single flower image from the Bouquet Blooms Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white square.
Pick out the matching flower framelit from the Gatefold Blossoms Framelits. Place the stamped flower image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the flower framelit on top so it is centered over the flower image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional in the middle of the back of the flower cut out to adhere it on top of the half flower tab on the bottom flap of the card front.
Pick out a small Lovely Lipstick button from the Tinted Faceted Buttons.
Cut an 8" piece of Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine.
Feed the ends of the twine through the holes in the button from the back side. Tie a small bow on the front of the button. Trim the ends of the twine.
Tip: Use a floss threader to make it easier to thread the twine through the holes of the button.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the button with twine bow to the front of the card so it is centered on the large Flirty Flamingo flower.
