Blessings Of Home World Card Making Day |
P retty birthday card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from So Saffron Cardstock
Mount the smaller bouquet image from the Blessings Of Home Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Pick out the matching floral bouquet die from the Flowers Of Home Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bouquet on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Tip: I prefer to cut the images out before coloring them. That way if the die slips during the cutting process, I haven't wasted a lot of time coloring the image.
Place the bouquet cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the flower petals on all flowers.
Use the Light and Dark So Saffron Stampin' Blends to color in the centers of all flowers.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive and Light and Dark Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends to color in the leaves and stems.
Pick out the long leafy branch that curves to the left die, the small spiky-leafed branch die, the long stem with flowers and leaves die, and the medium leaves curving to the right die from the Flowers Of Home Dies. Put them all on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the Crumb Cake leaf and flower stem cut outs and the colored bouquet cut out in the center of the remaining, vertical white rectangle to figure out spacing and placement.
When happy with the placement of pieces, adhere the Crumb Cake flowers and leaves stem cut outs in place one a time using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Tip: I only used a bit of glue near the bottoms of the stems to adhere them so the upper ends could lift up a bit.
Adhere the white rectangle with Crumb Cake stems attached to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored floral bouquet cut out in place so it covers the ends of the Crumb Cake stems.
Mount the "have a perfect birthday" sentiment from the Blessings Of Home Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the long thin strip of So Saffron Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the sentiment by hand.
Use tiny pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals cut from the edges of the sheets to adhere the sentiment strip cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and overlaps the bottom of the bouquet stem as shown.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color 6 large Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels while they are on the sheet. Allow to dry for a minute or two.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up the colored pearls from the sheet making sure you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card around the flower bouquet.
