Birds & Branches Jade Thanks Nest |
P retty thank you card using new Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Just Jade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Gray Granite Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of green leaf stalks on green background design from Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" square from Gray Granite Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Just Jade Cardstock
- 3-1/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Petal Pink Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper to the large Gray Granite rectangle and then to the front of the Just Jade card.
Pick out the scalloped circle die that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 3-1/8" diameter from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the Gray Granite square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Just Jade square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the leafy wreath die from the Birds & More Dies. Put it on top of the Just Jade square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the Just Jade (green) side is facing up. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now.
Note: This die will cut a wreath pattern in a rough circle out of the center of the square. It will NOT actually cut out the wreath circle. You will do that in the next step.
Pick out the smooth circle die that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-15/16" diameter from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the wreath square cut out on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the wreath. Run through the tool. Make sure the protective backing for the Adhesive Sheet stays in place for now. Leave the smooth circle die out for use in a later step.
Note: This is the step that will actually cut out the circle around the wreath. Don't worry if it isn't perfectly aligned.
Mount the "thanks!," "Celebrate," or "Congrats" sentiment from the Many Mates Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large white square so it is about 1-1/4" from the top and the right side is about 1/2" from the right edge.
Put the smooth circle die from the Layering Circle Dies on top of the stamped sentiment white square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is just slightly above center and closer to the right side. Run through the tool.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the green wreath cut out. Adhere the wreath cut out to the white sentiment circle so it is even with the edges of the sentiment circle and does not overlap the sentiment. The opening in the wreath should be near the upper right side of the sentiment circle.
Adhere the layered sentiment wreath circle to the center of the scalloped Gray Granite circle.
Adhere the matted sentiment wreath circle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 5/8" from the top.
As you are ready to stamp using the Birds & Branches Set or Field Of Flowers Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the solid, less detailed bird facing to the right image from the Birds & Branches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it on the remaining white rectangle.
Mount the more detailed bird facing to the right image from the Birds & Branches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped solid bird image.
Pick out the open bird facing to the right without feet die from the Birds & More Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bird image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bird cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left side of the sentiment wreath circle.
Cut a 9" piece of the Just Jade 3/8" Gingham Ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the card front at a slight angle just below the bird cut out.
Mount the set of six small flowers image from the Field Of Flowers Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small strip of Petal Pink Cardstock as close to the bottom edge as possible so the two smallest flowers are on the bottom.
Unlock the Confetti Flowers Border Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped Petal Pink strip into the punch so it butts up against the guide at the back of the punch and the flowers line up inside the punching areas. Punch.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere 5 of the punched out tiny flowers to the wreath on the card front.
