Birds & Branches |
T his card was created during my Facebook Live on December 21, 2020. The cutting instructions are included in the card description.
Card base: 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
Score in half at 4 1/4"
Score again at 2 1/8"
Cut upper left corner off from 2" up on side to center fold.
To cut panels for inside of card, you'll need 2 pieces of paper that are 3 3/4" X 5".
One will be the base layer, the other we will cut next.
Step A: Cut the upper corner off one 3 3/4" X 5" layering piece from 2" up from bottom to upper right corner.
Step B: Cut bottom piece in half at 1 7/8"
Step C: Cut 1/8" off bottom of smaller (left side) piece. This will be adhered to the front of your card.
For this card, I die cut the edge in Old Olive cardstock. I stamped branches and leaves in Early Espresso and Old Olive ink.
The blue birds on the top were die cut in Pacific Point. (These were adhered over the branch on both sides using glue dots.)
The other birds were stamped in Pacific Point and their bellies were colored with a Calypso Coral watercolor pencil and softened with a Blender Pen.
