Bird Ballad Laser Cut Card |
B ird Ballad Laser Cut Card using Fossil Stone Technique with Bird Ballad DSP and Stitched Nested Label Dies.
Fossil Stone Technique:
The best thing to use for this is a page protector, but you can use a plastic bag (Zip Lock is best because is it a firmer plastic) or even a cellophane bag.
Cut the two sides so whatever you are using opens out like a book. For smaller pieces of card, I find it easier to cut the page protector down to A5 size.
I find the best is to sponge one colour on one inside sheet and the other colour on other inside sheet. If you have the old style cloth-type stamp pads you will be able to just drag the pad over instead of sponging. The new foam type pads are too moist for this and you get a different effect.
Close the two sides together and smooth out using gentle pressure with your hand (a brayer can be used for this).
Open and place card stock (use two pieces is best as the ink is on both sides) between the two coloured sheets.
Once again smooth over with hands or brayer.
Using Fossil Stone Technique as above, colour a piece of Very Vanilla card 13.8 x 10.5 cm with Balmy Blue and Seaside Spray - check size will fit behind Laser Cut card front without showing out the edges.
Attach to underside of Laser card front using just a thin line of glue along the top edge (fold edge) of card. When you attach the other pieces to the front of the card these will also adhere to this backing piece.
Stamp greeting (Thinking of You from Good Morning Magnolia stamp set used here) onto small piece of Very Vanilla and cut out with Stitched Nested Label Die.
Cut larger size Stitched Nested Label die in the piece of Balmy Blue card.
Cut desired designs from Bird Ballad DSP and attach as desired on card front.
Place Epoxy shapes as required.
Can use Wink of Stella on bits of DSP if desired.
