P layful friendship card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/4" of closely packed yellow and orange flowers with green stems design from Bloom Impressions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stems are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" of yellow gingham design from Floral Delight 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Bee My Valentine Set or Storybook Friends Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the black rectangle across the top of the Pumpkin Pie card front so it is about 7/8" from the top.
Mount the "hello friend" sentiment from the Storybook Friends Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Pumpkin Pie card front so it is just below the black rectangle and about 3/4" from the left edge.
Adhere the strip of yellow and orange flowers Bloom Impressions Designer Paper to the center of the black rectangle. The left and right edges should be even.
Adhere the matted strip of designer paper to the front of the stamped card just above the stamped sentiment. The left and right edges should all be even.
Mount the bee stripes and stinger image from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Mount the solid oval bee body image from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped stripes and stinger so the edges all line up.
Unlock the Bee Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped bee body image into the punch and get it centered in the bee body punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Lay the punched out bee body on your work surface so the stinger is on the right side.
Mount the bee face image of choice from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the bee body punch out on the left side so it is centered in the yellow area.
Slide the yellow gingham Floral Delight Designer Paper strip into the unlocked Bee Builder Punch holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Get it centered in the large heart (wings) punching area. Punch.
Mount the outlined wings image from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the yellow gingham heart punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the wings to the back of the body punch out as shown.
Add more Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the assembled bee punch outs as needed. Remove the protective backings and adhere the bee to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom of the matted designer paper strip a bit and is just to the right of the stamped sentiment.
Put three tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the card front as shown.
Use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick to pick out three bee trinkets from the Tiny Bee Trinkets. Adhere them to the drops of liquid glue at a slight angle.
