Beautifully Happy Blended Blooms |
S oft and pretty thinking of you card using Stampin' Up! products including one that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2023.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Masking Paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" square from Masking Paper
- 3/4" x 3" of very pale white outline tiny hearts and leaves on pale pink background design from Country Floral Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
Place the white rectangle vertically on your work surface. Place the square of Masking Paper along the bottom edge about so the bottom edges are even and the right edge of the Masking Paper is about 3/4" from the right edge of the white rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautifully Happy Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the outline, complete bouquet image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical white rectangle so the bottom stems and leaves stamp on the Masking Paper. Leave the Masking Paper in place. Leave the stamp on the block.
Mount the large grouping of solid leaves image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped bouquet image so it fills in the leaves along the bottom and some of them stamp on the Masking Paper. Leave the stamp on the block, but carefully remove the Masking Paper.
Clean the outline, complete bouquet image on Block E using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy. Stamp onto Grid Paper a time or two to make sure your stamp is clean and dry.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker to color ONLY the bottom two leaves. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp the bottom two leaves at a slight angle on the lower right side of the white rectangle so the right edge of the bottom leaf is about 1/4" from the right edge of the cardstock and the bottom of the bottom leaf is about 3/4" from the bottom of the cardstock.
Clean the large grouping of solid leaves image on Block D using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy. Stamp onto Grid Paper a time or two to make sure your stamp is clean and dry.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Marker to color ONLY the bottom two leaves. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp over the top of the previously stamped two outline leaf images so it fills in the leaves.
Mount the grouping of solid buds image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped complete bouquet image so it fills in the buds at the top of the bouquet.
Mount the larger grouping of solid flowers and buds image from the Beautifully Happy Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Place the stamp inky side face up on your work surface.
Rub a Small Blending Brush across the open Real Red Ink Pad to get it inky. Tap the inky Blending Brush onto the center of the large, full flower image on the block. Lightly rub the edges of the large, full flower image on the block and the bottoms of the three buds as well. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped bouquet image so it fills in the flowers and buds.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the front of the Petal Pink card.
Cut a 3-3/4" inch piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Lay the ribbon on the card front so it is horizontal and is centered in the white space between the full bouquet and the two separate leaves at the bottom. Put tiny pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ribbon near the center to hold it in place.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Country Floral Lane Designer Paper strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the small, rounded scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the other end.
Mount the "sending happy thoughts," "kindness matters," or "thank you" sentiment on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched designer paper strip.
Tip: Make sure the very faint hearts on the designer paper are right side up!
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the stamped and punched sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three large and two small Petal Pink sequins from the sheet of Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one large sequin to the center of the large flower. Adhere one large sequin in the upper right corner of the card front. Adhere the remaining three sequins in a rough triangle on the lower left side of the card front.
