Beautiful World Cider Stripe Journey |
H andmade card featuring new products from Stampin' Up!
Cut cardstock, designer paper, Foil Sheets, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from varying shades of light brown stripes on white background design from Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/8" square from Pacific Point Cardstock
- 2-1/8" square from Brass Foil Sheets
- 2" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Cut a 6" piece of Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim.
Pick out a ribbon slide from the Antiqued Corners & Slides.
Feed the ribbon through the ribbon slide so the side of the slide that you want facing up is up. Position the slide near the left end of the ribbon.
Lay the ribbon with slide attached across the Flowers For Every Season Designer Paper so the ribbon is about 1" from the bottom edge. Flip the designer paper over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper layer. Adhere it to the front of the Cinnamon Cider card.
Mount the "Life's A Beautiful Journey" sentiment from the Beautiful World Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it near the left side of the 2" x 4" white piece. Leave room to cut it out with the rectangle die.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 1-5/16" x 3-5/16" from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered up and down, but closer to the left side. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out in place to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the right side (move the slide over further to the left if needed).
Pick out the open circle die from the World Map Dies. Put it on top of the Pacific Point square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to the BACK (white) side of the Brass Foil Sheets square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the globe die from the World Map Dies that shows the hemisphere you want. Put it on top of the Brass Foil Sheets square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the foil sheet is facing up (shiny, brass side up). Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
If you want to add the accent shown in the upper left corner of the card, be sure to save at least one of the little diamonds cut out from the foil globe.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the globe cut out. Adhere the globe cut out to the center of the Pacific Point circle cut out.
Use Stampin' Seal to adhere the layered globe circle to the front of the card so the bottom of the globe is tucked under the sentiment rectangle a bit on the upper right side.
If you saved one of the diamond shaped bits cut out of the foil globe image, carefully peel up the protective backing and adhere the diamond to the upper left corner of the card.
Mount the quill pen image from the Beautiful World Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp once onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the quill pen image on one end of the 1" x 4" white strip.
Mount the inkwell image from the Beautiful World Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp the inkwell image on the other end of the 1" x 4" white strip. Make sure to leave room between the images so they can be cut out with the dies.
Pick out the quill pen die and the inkwell die from the World Map Dies. Put them on top of the stamped images on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the images are centered. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the tool.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional on the back of the top of the quill pen cut out and Stampin' Seal on the back of the bottom of the quill pen cut out to adhere the quill pen to the front of the card so it is sticking up on the right side of the sentiment rectangle cut out.
Use Stampin' Seal to adhere the inkwell cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the quill pen just to the right of the sentiment.
