Beautiful Butterflies Summer Butterflies Celebration

Supplies needed:

Project Recipe:

1. Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
   - card from Shy Shamrock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
   - 4" x 5-1/4" from Summer Splash Cardstock
   - 1" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
   - 3/4" x 2-1/2" of small white flowers and leaves on light green/blue background design from Bloom Impressions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
   - 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" of small white flowers and leaves on light green/blue background design from Bloom Impressions 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
   - 1" x 3" from Shy Shamrock Cardstock

2. Insert the Summer Splash rectangle into the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.

3. Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the white strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.

4. Slide one short edge of the 3/4" wide Bloom Impressions Designer Paper strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.

5. As you are ready to stamp using the Beautiful Butterflies Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.

6. Mount the "time to celebrate" sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Summer Splash Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched white strip so it is close to the punched end with the punched end on the left side.

7. Adhere the punched strip of designer paper behind the punched and stamped sentiment strip so about 1/2" of designer paper sticks out on the left side.

8. Cut a 6-1/2" piece of the Summer Splash 3/8" Bordered Ribbon.

9. Tie the the ribbon around the right end of the layered, punched, and stamped sentiment strip using a knot so it is just past the end of the sentiment. Trim the ends.

10. Adhere the sentiment strip with ribbon attached to the dry embossed Summer Splash rectangle so it is about 3/4" from the top and the right edge of the strip goes off the right edge of the rectangle. Trim off excess along the right edge.

11. Adhere the dry embossed Summer Splash rectangle with sentiment strip attached to the front of the Shy Shamrock card.

12. Pick out both of the small, detailed butterfly dies included in the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put them on top of the remaining strip of Bloom Impressions Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.

13. Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the center of the back of each butterfly cut out to adhere them to the card front as shown.

14. Pick out both of the small, solid butterfly body dies included in the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put them on top of the strip of Shy Shamrock cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.

15. Use a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the center of the back of each butterfly body cut out to adhere them to the card front as shown so they are centered over the butterfly cut outs.
