Beautiful Butterflies Hello Line |
H andmade hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Berry Burst Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of mottled pink and blue bokeh design from Beautiful Bokeh 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" square from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Beautiful Butterflies Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the smaller, open-winged butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it down the left side of the vertical Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper rectangle as shown 4 times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation a little each time. Let some of the images go off the left, top, and bottom edges.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Balmy Blue strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it on the punched strip so it is close to the punched end with the punched end on the left side.
Cut a 7" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon around the sentiment strip just to the right of the sentiment using a knot. Trim the ends.
Adhere the sentiment strip with ribbon attached to the lower right side of the stamped designer paper so it is about 3/4" from the bottom and there is about 3/8" of Balmy Blue between the right edge of the ribbon and the right edge of the designer paper. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the right edge.
Adhere the stamped designer paper with sentiment strip/ribbon attached to the center of the Berry Burst rectangle and then to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
Mount the small, close-winged butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Fresh Freesia square.
Pick out the matching, open, closed-wing butterfly die included in the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the stamped butterfly image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the butterfly cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the upper left side of the sentiment strip a bit.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 Berry Burst sequins from a sheet of Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a rough triangle in the upper right corner of the card front as shown.
