|
W ho doesn't love the sliding barn doors? This one has a message of blessings and if you slide the door, one of happiness. There is a fun surprise inside the card too.

Cut
Crumb Cake 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and 3 x 4
Soft Suede 4 x 5 1/4
Very Vanilla 4 x 5 1/4 , 2 1/4 x 4 and 2 x 3
Basic Black scraps
Prepare the stamped elements first. Using Soft Suede, stamp blessing message to left of 4 x 2 1/4 Very Vanilla and happiness message to the right. Using Soft Suede also stamp the barn door on the smaller Crumb Cake piece.
Stamp the dog with tractor stamp in bottom left corner of largest Very Vanilla piece. Note this is a horizontal card. Use Garden Green to stamp the wreath near one end of the smallest Very Vanilla. Use markers to ink the three flower stamp and stamp toward the other end of the smallest Very Vanilla.
Place Basic Black on a Sizzix Adhesive Sheet. Using the Thinlits, cut the door handle and rail. The wheels that slide on the rail should not have adhesive but not a problem if they do. Set aside.
On Soft Suede cardstock, use the Thinlits to cut the grooves. Place the lower slot more toward the bottom so there is room for the rail at the top. Cut out the stamped Barn Door, wreath and flowers.
Use #8 washers to create the pieces that will slide in the grooves. Start with a washer on back side of the groove. Attach a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to the washer and then complete the sandwich with another washer. Create two in each groove. (There are numerous options for this step, I chose the washers.)
Attach the blessing and happiness Very Vanilla piece in the center of the space between the grooves on the Soft Suede. Attach the dog with tractor piece inside the card. Attach wreath to barn door and then flowers on top for a little dimension. Peel adhesive backing from the rail and attach to the Soft Suede above the top groove. It is ok to attach the door handle now, but attach the door to the washers in the next step before attaching the wheels.
Slide the two left washer sandwiches to the far left of the grooves and the others to the far right of the grooves. Attach glues dots to the top of the two left washer sandwiches and carefully adhere the left side of the barn door to these. Attach glue dots to the washer sandwiches on the far right and then slide door over and attach the right side of the barn door to these.
Using glue dots attach wheels to the top of the barn door positioned above rail. If there is adhesive on the wheels try to rub off except where it will attach to the door.
Flip this piece with the barn door attached over and place Foam Adhesive Strip pieces above and below each groove. Peel off backing and attach to the card front.
