Awesomely Artistic / Lots of Thanks ~June 2016 1.4 |
I love it when I can get a chance to get messy. For this card, I used the block as a stamp and broke out a spritzer with water.

Cut Cardstock: Night of Navy – 8 1⁄2” x 5 1⁄2” Blue (Not Stampin Up!)– 5 1/4” x 4” Whisper White - 5" x 3 3/4"
Fold the Night of Navy Cardstock in half with a Bone Folder.
Use 'I" block as a stamp. Ink 2/3 of block with Pool Party Ink. Ink other 2/3 of block with Marina Mist Ink (inks will overlap in middle of block). Ink bottom 1/3 of block with Night of Navy Ink. Creating an ombré ink affect on block. Note: ALWAYS ink block from lightest to darkest to not contaminate your ink pads.
Mist now inked block with water using Stampin' Spritzer until ink starts to pool on block.
Turn block over and press quickly and firmly onto Whisper White Cardstock. Hold down firmly until paper absorbs the ink and water (about 30 seconds to 1 minute). You will start to see air bubbles form under the block. Once about half the block is covered in air bubbles, it is safe to lift up.
Let air dry or heat set inks with Heat Tool.
Stamp dragonflies from Awesomely Artistic stamp set with Night of Navy Ink on Whisper White Cardstock that now has water color background.
Stamp sentiment from Lots of Thanks stamp set with Night of Navy ink on Whisper White Cardstock.
Adhere now stamped Whisper White Cardstock onto Blue (Not Stampin Up!) Cardstock using SNAIL Adhesive.
Adhere now matted and stamped Whisper White Cardstock onto Night of Navy card front using SNAIL Adhesive.
