Awesome Otters, Nuts & Bolts, and Penguin Place Valentine Bo |
F un Valentine treat boxes that use Stampin' Up! products and are easy for kids to help decorate.
Cut Basic White Cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2 pieces each 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" for each box
- scrap strip at least 1" wide and 3-1/4" long if making the penguin box
Fold the Sweet Little Box together using the self-adhesive strips on the edges.
If using the Penguin Place Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat before stamping. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the otter, robot, or penguin image of choice from the Awesome Otters, Nuts & Bolts, or Penguin Place Sets on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it near the top of one of the vertical, white rectangles in the center.
If making the penguin box, mount the tiny, triangular beak image from the Penguin Place Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the penguin face so the triangular beak is pointing down.
If making the penguin box, mount the single penguin foot image from the Penguin Place Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad and stamp it twice on either end of the thin white strip. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
If making the penguin box, unlock the Penguin Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one of the stamped feet images into the punch and get it centered in the punching area of the foot. Punch. Repeat with the other foot.
If making the penguin box, use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the punched out feet to the base of the penguin.
If making the otter or robot boxes, mount the sentiment of choice from the Awesome Otters or Nuts & Bolts Sets on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the otter or robot image in the center.
Let child color in the image using their own crayons or markers.
Adhere the colored otter, robot, or penguin white rectangle to the front of the assembled box using Stampin' Seal+.
Use the Poppy Parade Marker to write "To:" and "From:" on the remaining white, vertical rectangle leaving space between them for the child to write in names.
Let child write in the names on the "To: From:" rectangle using their own crayons or markers.
Adhere the completed "To: From:" white rectangle to the back of the assembled box using Stampin' Seal+.
Fill box with treats and let child give away!
