Angled Stripe Scrapbook Layout |
|
I am making scrapbook pages for the pictures I am taking that show the differences in our life, as we stay home to "flatten the curve" The Share Sunshine PDF download has the perfect sentiments for this kind of scrapbooking. I tried a new technique to make a background.
|
To cut angled strips - put one edge of paper at top of paper cutter at 1" and the other edge at bottom of paper cutter at 2 1/2". Cut all of one 12 X 12 print paper and one 12 X 12 Bermuda Bay card stock. You will have a strip of paper left that is 1 1/2" wide.
To build the background - begin attaching one of your strips at bottom of 12 X 12 Whisper White card stock.
When attaching the strips, attach the straight edge of a solid color strip to the straight edge of the print paper. Attach the angled edge of print paper to the angled edge of solid color strip.
Build your background. I wanted a white strip in the middle so I kept adding strips until I had 2 print and 2 solid strips. Then I started from top with 1 strips of print and 1 strip of solid.
When you start building the background on the second 12 X 12 white paper start with the opposite of the first page. So if you started with solid on the other page, start with print paper on this page.
Cut letters from Hand Lettered Prose. Attach letters in white strip.
I used dies and punch to cut out sentiments from Share Sunshine download. I matted one with black paper and added glimmer dots.
