Amazing You Medallion Flower
P retty thank you card using FREE products that can be earned from Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration 2018.
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Berry Burst Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
Mount the flower image from the Amazing You Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp once onto Grid Paper. Stamp again, without re-inking, onto the Whisper White square so the flower is centered. Set aside to let it dry.
Pick out one of the Sahara Sand cards from the Mixed Medallion Card Kit. Fold on all score lines. Make sure the Berry Burst inside flap will fold down when opened.
If desired, you can stamp on the Berry Burst layer inside the card. Mount the sentiments you want on the appropriate blocks. Ink them up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp them in the center of the Berry Burst flap.
Unlock the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Slide the scrap of Berry Burst Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Fold the Sahara Sand flaps of the card closed. Put a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the knob sticking out of the left side flap. Remove the protective backing and adhere the punched out circle to the center of the medallion formed when the flaps are closed.
Poke out a Calypso Coral scalloped circle and a "thank you" sentiment circle from the sheet of die cuts included in the Mixed Medallion Card Kit.
Adhere the sentiment circle to the center of the scalloped circle using SNAIL.
Put a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the left side flap just below and to the left of the Berry Burst circle. Remove the protective backing and adhere the matted sentiment circle to it so it overlaps the bottom left of the Berry Burst circle a tiny bit.
Place the stamped flower image on the Grid Paper to protect your work surface and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers.
Scribble all over the flower with the Light Calypso Coral Marker. Add highlights with the Dark Calypso Coral Marker. Use the Light Rich Razzleberry Marker to color in the center of the flower. Use the Light Calypso Coral Marker again to blend everything together. Add more color as desired, blending again with the Light Calypso Coral Marker.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the flower by hand.
Tip: I like to go around the edges of the cut out image with one of the brush tips of one of the Stampin' Blends Markers I used to make sure that all white edges are colored.
Adhere the cut out flower to the center of the Berry Burst circle on the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Use the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Marker to color one of the 1/4" White Perfect Accents while it is on the sheet.
Carefully peel up the colored White Perfect Accent making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it covers the top right of the sentiment circle and the bottom left of the flower.
Place the envelope front side up on Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the "amazing" sentiment on Block H. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it on the front of the envelope along the left edge about 1-1/2" from the bottom. Without re-inking, stamp it again just below the first word. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the sentiment with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the lighter Berry Burst stamped word. Without re-inking, stamp it again just below the previously stamped Calypso Coral word.
