Amazing Silhouettes Freesia Butterflies |
P retty spring birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 4-1/4" of the Fresh Freesia design from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the little flower images are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 2 strips each 1/2" x 4-1/2" of the Petal Pink designs from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" square from Petal Pink Cardstock
Mount the butterfly image from the Amazing Silhouettes Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it three times on the large, vertical white rectangle as shown. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let the two bottom images overlap a bit as shown.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the large Petal Pink rectangle and then to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of one of the designer paper strips into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the bumpier edge) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end. Repeat with the other two designer paper strips.
Adhere the two Petal Pink punched designer paper strips to the front of the card so the left ends are very close together and the right ends are spread apart a bit and they cover the bottom of the top butterfly image and the top of the bottom butterfly image on the left side.
Adhere the punched Fresh Freesia designer paper to the card front so it overlaps the other two strips as shown.
As you are ready to stamp using the Pansy Patch Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "happy birthday" image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white square.
Pick out the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a circle that is 1-3/8" in diameter. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 1-3/4" in diameter. Put it on top of the Petal Pink square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment circle to the center of the Petal Pink scalloped circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered sentiment circles to the front of the card so they are centered over the designer paper strips on the left side.
Pick out a 3 large and 2 small Pale Papaya and Fresh Freesia flowers from the Loose Flower Flourishes. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the flowers to the front of the card as shown. You may need to squish the dots down in size.
