A Good Man Relaxing Sunset |
B right and cheery Father's Day card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of yellow and red mottled design from See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Crushed Curry Cardstock at least 2-1/2" long
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Purple Posy Cardstock
Adhere the piece of See A Silhouette Designer Paper to the Real Red rectangle and then to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Mount the guy in chair image from the A Good Man Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the white square.
Pick out the straight-edged square die from the Layering Squares Dies that cuts out a 2-5/8" square. Put it on top of the stamped guy in chair image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is in the lower left corner. Run through the tool.
Pick out the scalloped square die from the Layering Squares Dies that cuts out a 2-3/4" scalloped square. Put it on top of the Crushed Curry square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Put the guy in chair square cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring the man in the chair image with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light and Dark Real Red Markers to color in the stripes of the chair.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Markers to color in the man's shirt.
Use the Light and Dark Soft Suede Markers to color in the man's hat and shorts and the dirt around the chair.
Use the Ivory and Bronze Markers to color in the man's legs, arms, neck, and lower face.
Use the Light and Dark Pool Party Markers to color in the sky.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Adhere the colored man in chair square cut out to the center of the scalloped Crushed Curry square.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon so it has a sharp downward angle on the right end.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the piece of Burlap Ribbon to the back of the matted man in chair square so the ribbon will stick out on the bottom right side about 1-3/4" inches with the angle on the end.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strip and add SNAIL to the back of the Crushed Curry scalloped square. Adhere the square with ribbon attached to the front of the card so the squares are on the left side and the angled end of the ribbon almost touches the right edge of the designer paper.
Put a tiny piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive under the ribbon on the designer paper. Remove the protective backing and stick the ribbon down.
Mount the open tool box image from the Geared Up Garage Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Pick out the open tool box die from the Garage Gears Dies. Put it on top of the stamped tool box image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Put the tool box cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring the tool box image with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the dark colors first and then the light colors to blend the colors and color in the spaces. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Light and Dark Real Red Markers to color in the tool box.
Use the Dark Soft Suede Marker to color in the wooden bar across the top of the open tool box and some of the tool handles.
Use the Dark Smoky Slate Marker to color in the hardware on the tool box and rest of the tools.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove excess ink.
Adhere the colored tool box cut out to the bottom right corner of the man in chair squares so it overlaps a bit.
Mount the "relax your way" sentiment from the A Good Man Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Crushed Curry Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the sentiment by hand so there is a sharp downward angle on the right end.
Adhere the sentiment cut out strip to the center of the ribbon so it overlaps the right end of the ribbon a bit and overlaps the right edge of the tool box a bit.
Mount the "Happy Father's Day" shield image from the Geared Up Garage Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Crushed Curry rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open, shield die from the Garage Gears Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment shield image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment shield cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the upper right corner of the man in chair squares.
Pick out a wrench element from the Classic Garage Metal Elements.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the wrench element to the tool box so the wrench portion overlaps the end of the "relax your way" sentiment strip just a bit.
