Birthday Book Fold

Supplies needed:

Project Recipe:

1. Measurements
   4 1/4" x 11" Balmy Blue Cardstock (CS) (Scored on the long side at 4 1/2" and 5 1/2")
   4" x 4 1/4" White CS (Cut 2)
   ¾” x 4" White CS
   3 ¾” x 4" Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP)
   ½” x 3 ¾” DSP

   Cut and Score all pieces. Burnish well on score lines.

2. Mount DSP on the front of the card. The front of the card has the 1" border on the left.
   * Mount the DSP on the top of White CS pieces leaving a boarder all the way around.
   * Stamp the sentiment on the tag and attach to the front of the card.
   * Attach front panel to the front of the card base.
   * Attach small piece of matted DSP to the 1” margin on left-hand side.
   * Punch holes through the DSP and card base about 1” from each edge of card.
   * Run ribbon through holes and tie into a bow.

3. Inside the card.
   Mount the white CS inside the card so you have a place to write.
   * Note if you wish to have a sentiment inside, stamp it prior to mounting the CS.

4. Adding the Ribbon - The ribbon can be done in two ways.

   * To run the ribbon like I did, punch two holes in the 1" border. Run the ribbon through the holes and tie in the front of the card.

   * To run the ribbon all the way through, punch the holes through both layers of the CS while it is folded in half. Tie the ribbon AFTER you adhere the boarder together.

   Using adhesive (I used Tear & Tape) on either side of the ribbon inside the card. Fold the card shut to form the border.

5. Embellish as desired.

   5 ½” x 8 ½” Calypso Coral Cardstock (CS) (Scored on the long side at 5 ¼” and 5 ¼”)
   3" x 5 ¼” Basic Gray CS
   3” x 5 ¼” Peach Pie CS
   ¾” x 5 ¼” Gray CS
   2 ¾” x 5 ¼” Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP)
   ½” x 5” DSP

   Cut and Score all pieces. Burnish well on score lines.
