Happy Birthday Poppy Ensemble |
|
A 4" x 6" Card featuring a selection of sponged Poppies and die cut leaves, with a sponged insert, using products from the Peaceful Poppies Suite from the Jan-Jun 2020 Mini Catalogue. This is one of five cards from my Peaceful Poppies With Product Class.

|
Take a piece of Mossy Meadow Cardstock measuring 8" x 6" and, with the long side to the top of your Stampin' Trimmer, score down at 4". Fold the score line and burnish with your bone folder.
Cut a piece of variegated green paper from the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to measuring 6" x 3" and attach this to the card base, allowing equal borders on either side and matching up the top and bottom edges.
Using the Happy Birthday stamp from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set and Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink to add the sentiment to the bottom right corner of the DSP.
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock approx 4" square and, using Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink and a Sponge Dauber, apply the ink all over the piece of card using a circular motion. Don't worry that the coverage is uneven - we are looking for that effect.
Once inked, use the large and small poppy die from the Poppy Moments Dies to cut out one of each, plus three of the buds using the Bud Die.
Next cut one of each of the detailed poppy dies in Whisper White cardstock, one each in Blackberry Bliss and two of the starburst style centres in Blackberry Bliss.
Using a scrap of the same green DSP as in step 2, cut out 3 bud bases (the bit that looks like a heart on a stick), and two of each leaf sprig.
Using the Fine Tipped Glue attach the white detailed layers to the two poppies and the buds inside the bud bases. From the Blackberry Bliss poppy layers, snip out the centres of each flower and attach them over the white layer. Lastly add the two starburst centres leaving the one on the full face poppy flat, and folding the other one in half before attaching. Use the Clear Wink of Stella to add some glitter to the centres.
Arrange the flowers, buds and leaves as shown in the photograph (or to your own design) using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals.
Attach three Gold Sequins (the top one is a flower shaped one) to the card as shown using Fine Tipped Glue or Mini Glue Dots.
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 5 3/4" x 3 3/4" and, using the Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink and your Sponge Dauber, sponge around the edge of the card in circular motions until you are happy with the coverage. You can add a little or a lot of ink to your preference.
Attach your inked insert to the inside of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or SNAIL.
Your card is now finished so sit back and admire your creation.
