4" x 6" Beautiful Days Flap Card |
|
A 4" x 6" Winter Card featuring products from the Feels Life Frost Suite from the 2019 Autumn/Winter Catalogue.
|
|
Take a piece of Highland Heather Cardstock measuring 8" x 6" and, with the long edge to the top of the Stampin' Trimmer or Simply Scored Board, score down at the 4" mark.
Fold the card at the scoreline and burnish by pressing the bone folder along the fold to give a crisp crease.
Take a piece of scenic DSP like the one in the photo measuring 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and attach it to a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock measuring 3 3/4" x 5 3/4". Attach this panel to the front of your card base.
Take the matching piece of DSP measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". Use a ruler or grid paper to find the centre of the bottom edge (1 3/4") and mark this on the back with a pencil. On each of the sides mark at 1 1/2" down from the top edge.
Using either a Stampin' Trimmer or a craft knife and metal ruler, cut from one of the side marks to the centre mark. Repeat for the other side to form a pointed base as shown.
Using Highland Heather ink, stamp the All Days Are Beautiful stamp from the Floral Essence Stamp Set towards the bottom of the DSP.
Repeat above with a piece of Smoky Slate Cardstock measuring 3 3/4" x 5 3/4", marking at 1 15/16 and 1 3/4".
Attach a length of Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon to the top of the piece of DSP using tear and tape on the back. With a length of Bakers Twine and Linen Tread together, tie a bow. Attach this to the middle of the piece of ribbon with a glue dot.
Attach the DSP to the Smoky Slate Cardstock with liquid glue.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, attach the pointed flap to the top of the card to resemble an envelope as shown in the photo.
Your card is now complete - sit back and admire your handiwork.
