Father's Day Gift Card Holder |
|
U sing an altered version of the Lots to Love Box, quick and easy gift card holder.
Cutting:
11 x 4 1/4 strip for card base. I used Night of Navy and Tranquil Tide.
2 3/4 x 3 1/2 DSP (2)
2 3/4 x 3 1/2 Very Vanilla (for Sentiment inside)
Very Vanilla scrap for Label
Cutting the Gift Card Holder:
Score the strip at 5 1/2 and fold.
Line up the open end with the top (flap) of the Lots to Love Box Framelit. The folded edge will not reach the bottom of the die so it will stay intact.
The bottom of the card will be the one that keeps the flap. Cut off the two small squares.
The top of the card will be a simple strip so you need to cut off the flap and both sides at the score line to the center score line.
Crease up the two side flaps on the bottom and the top flap.
The final step for the base is to cut the flaps that will hold the gift card. They are cut with the two circle flaps in the framelit set.
Center a gift card in the bottom of the holder and mark the edges with a pencil, you can erase this later. This will be your guide to place the flap dies. Cut with the Big Shot.
Assembly:
Place one of the DSP pieces inside the flaps where the card will go. You might need to trim it a bit to get it to lie flat.
Adhere the other to the front.
Stamp the label on Very Vanilla and punch out with the Truly Tailored Punch.
Stamp the inside sentiment on the Very Vanilla and adhere to the inside left of the card holder.
Using Dimensionals towards the left side of the label adhere it positioned to hold the flap.
