P retty card to say hello using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at 4-1/4 x 11" and scored at 5-1/2", this is a tent fold card
- 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" of bunches of black outlined flowers and leaves on white background design from Petal Passion Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3" of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- scrap of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at least 1-1/2" wide
Pick out the lines of stems with leaves embossing folder from the Petal Pair Embossing Folders. Insert the front of the Flirty Flamingo card into the folder so that the left edge of the folder is on the left edge of the card front and the pattern on the open end of the folder is even with the fold in the card.
Place the folder with the card front inside it on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Place the piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper on top of Grid Paper to protect your work surface from ink. Use the Markers to color in the leaves and flowers on the piece of designer paper.
Adhere the colored designer paper to the center of the black rectangle. Then, adhere the matted paper to the front of the card so it is centered.
Mount the flamingo image from the Pop of Paradise Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it on the 2-1/4" x 3" rectangle of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. Make sure you get the head and body of the flamingo stamped. Don't worry if the legs don't fit on the cardstock, you will be covering them up anyway.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the flamingo. Don't worry about cutting out the legs in great detail, they will be covered by the sentiment punches.
Use a Mini Glue Dot behind the head and SNAIL behind the body and roughly cut out legs to adhere the flamingo to the center of the colored designer paper on the card front so the head is about 1" from the top of the designer paper.
Mount the outline label with scroll work in the ends image from the Label Me Pretty Set on Block D. Ink it up by lightly pressing it to the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. If you press too hard, you will get ink in the open center area of the label which you do not want, so press lightly! Stamp in the center of the 2" x 3-1/4" Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped label into the punch. Center the label in the punching area. Punch.
Cut a 4-1/4" piece of Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon with sharp angles on either side.
Adhere the piece of ribbon to the back of the punched out label using a small strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive so that the angled ends stick out to either side of the label and the ribbon is horizontal.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strip and add more SNAIL, adhere the punched out label to the front of the card so it covers the flamingo's legs and is centered side to side.
Mount the "hello" circle from the Pop of Paradise Set to Block C. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad and stamp in the center of the scrap of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.
Unlock the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment circle into the punch. Center the sentiment circle in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circle to the center of the label.
Pick out two small Metal Rimmed Pearls. Peel off the protective backings and adhere them to either side of the label inside the scrollwork.
