Q uick and easy Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of red berries on brown stems on vanilla background pattern from Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper, cut so the berries are hanging down when the rectangle is vertical
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3/4" x 2-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Adhere the rectangle of Poinsettia Place Designer Paper to the front of the Real Red card. Make sure the berries are hanging down.
As you are ready to stamp using the Poinsettia Petals Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the outline berries stem image from the Poinsettia Petals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large Very Vanilla rectangle so the berries are hanging down. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again just below and to the right of the first image. The stem at the top should cross over the first stem just a bit.
Mount the grouping of solid berries image from the Poinsettia Petals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp the berries inside the previously stamped outlined berries remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the smooth oval die that cuts out an oval that is 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from the Layering Ovals Dies. Put it on top of the stamped berries on stems image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the berries are centered side to side and the tops of the stems are about 3/8" from the top of the oval. Run through the machine.
Pick out the scalloped oval die that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from the Layering Ovals Dies. Put it on top of the Real Red rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the stamped vanilla oval cut out to the center of the Real Red scalloped oval cut out.
Adhere the matted oval cut outs to the front of the card so they are centered side to side and about 1" from the top.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Very Vanilla strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the rounder label top) as far as it will go. Punch. Repeat with the other side.
Mount the "warm wishes from our house to yours" sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched vanilla strip.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Real Red Marker to carefully outline the edges of the punched sentiment strip.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the punched sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is centered over the bottom of the matted ovals.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the rounded ends of the punched sentiment strip.
Cut a 4" piece of the Real Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the stems where they cross.
