Project Recipe
Cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Cut a piece of Just Jade cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4". Adhere the Just Jade piece to the Pretty Peacock base.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5". Adhere this to the Just Jade layer of the card base. These three layers will form the base of the pocket.
Cut two pieces of Forever Greenery DSP to 3 3/4" x 3". Cut DSP piece #1 into 2 triangles by cutting it in half from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Cut DSP piece #2 into 2 triangles by cutting it in half from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. These triangles will form the front of the pocket.
Assemble the front of the pocket by placing the two triangles in a V shape at the bottom of the Just Jade base layer. (Hint: the 90 degree corners of each triangle should be laid on the bottom corners of the Just Jade cardstock.)
Using a thin line of liquid glue along the outer edge and bottom edge of each triangle, adhere the front of the pocket to the pocket base.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 2 1/2" x 3 3/4". Using Pretty Peacock ink and the Best Year Stamp Set, stamp a greeting along the bottom edge of this white cardstock piece.
Fold a 2 inch piece of Old Olive/Pretty Peacock reversible ribbon in half. This will be the "pull loop" for the card. Adhere the pull loop to the back of the top edge the Whisper White cardstock piece using either a small piece of scotch tape, a staple or glue dots.
Cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock to 2 3/4" x 4". Adhere the Whisper White "pull" front to this piece.
Using the Wreath Builder dies, cut a leafy wreath out of Just Jade cardstock and cut a "ferny" wreath our of Soft Seafoam cardstock. Using liquid glue, place several dots of glue around the front of the leafy wreath and adhere the ferny wreath to it.
To adhere the assembled wreaths to the front of the "pull", place dots of liquid glue around the back of the wreath being careful to ONLY glue the top half of the wreath. Adhere the wreaths to the top part of the "pull". The bottom half of the wreath should not be glued down. This will allow the bottom of the wreath to hang over the front edge of the pocket when the card is assembled.
Make a small bow using a piece of Whisper White crinkled seam binding ribbon. Using a mini glue dot, adhere the bow to the top of the wreath. Place about 5 Pearl Basic Jewels on the front of the wreath. Insert the "pull" into the pocket and allow the front of the wreath to hang over the front of the pocket.
