C ute, fun birthday card using retiring Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Card Stock
- 3-3/8" x 4-5/8" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1" x 6" from Crumb Cake Card Stock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Whisper White Card Stock
Place Old Olive rectangle into the Boho Chic Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Old Olive rectangle to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Place the large white rectangle on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. This will help insure that you get a nice clean stamped image when you stamp with the photopolymer stamps.
Place Block H in front of you horizontally. Find the "H" image in the Layered Letters Alphabet Set. Mount it to the right side of the block. Mount the "A" image right next to it as close as possible. Mount the "P" image next to that as close as possible. Now, mount the "R" image as close as possible (trust me!). Mount the "Y" image as close as possible.
Remove the "R" image stamp from Block H and put it away.
Ink up the rest of the stamps on Block H using the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp the word on the bottom of the white layer so it is centered side to side and about 1/2" up from the bottom edge. Clean the stamps with the Stampin' Mist Cleaner and Stampin' Scrub. If you are going to be making multiple copies of this card, leave the stamps on the block!
Remove the letter "P" image from Block H. Mount it on Block B. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the blank space in the word. Clean the stamp and put it away or if you are making multiple copies of the card, put it back on Block H as close as possible to the "A."
Mount the word "birthday" from the Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the white rectangle so it overlaps the bottom right of the word "happy" a little bit.
Mount the solid, round-edged square image from the Playful Pals Photopolymer Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle so it is about 1/2" inch from the top edge.
Mount the outline image of the rounded-edge square from the Playful Pals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad and stamp it over the top of the Crumb Cake shape so it outlines it.
Mount the small solid oval image from the Playful Pals Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake shape near the bottom.
Mount the small "double fish hook" mouth image from the Playful Pals Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Soft Suede oval.
Mount the small, solid, rounded-edge triangle image from the Playful Pals Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the Crumb Cake Card Stock strip.
Pick out the matching thinlit from the Pyramid Pals Thinlits. Place the stamped card stock strip on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the Pyramid Pals Thinlit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Without adhering, place the cut out so it is centered over the top of the smile as the puppy's nose.
Mount the image of the two widely spaced tiny dots on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it over the nose as the eyes.
Now, cut a small piece of Stampin' Dimensionals from the edge of a sheet using Paper Snips. Adhere to the back of the nose. Peel off the protective backing and adhere the nose in place.
Mount the outline ear loop image on Block G. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp on the other end of the Crumb Cake Card Stock strip. Re-ink the stamp with Soft Suede Ink and stamp it again in the center of the Crumb Cake strip.
Mount the solid ear loop image on Block G. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad and stamp it inside the outline image of one of the ears. Re-ink the stamp with Crumb Cake Ink and stamp it inside the outline image of the other ear.
Cut out the ears by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere small strips of Dimensionals cut from the edges of the Dimensionals sheets using Paper Snips to the backs of the ears. Remove the protective backings and adhere the ears to either side of the head at slight angles.
Mount the solid bow tie image on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small white rectangle.
Pick out the bow tie thinlit from the Pyramid Pals Thinlits. Place the stamped bow tie on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the bow tie thinlit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Slide a Bow Paper Clips Embellishment on to the bow tie cut out from one end.
Cut a strip of Dimensionals off of a sheet with Paper Snips and adhere to the back of the bow tie. This will help hold the paper clip in place. Remove the protective backing and adhere the bow tie below the puppy's face.
