Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Foil Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3" from Silver Foil Sheets
Insert the large Whisper White rectangle into the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the leaves at the top of the large central flower are as close as possible to the top of the cardstock. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to lightly paint some shimmer onto the raised outlined petals of the large central flower and onto the raised small flowers.
Place the dry embossed white rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface and make sure nothing is too close to your work area so you don't get ink on it during the next step.
Squeeze the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush barrel fairly hard to get lots of glittery fluid on the tip of the brush. Hold the brush tip over the dry embossed rectangle. Flick the end of the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to make drops of glittery fluid splatter onto the cardstock. Repeat until you have the coverage you want. Get more glittery fluid on the brush as needed by squeezing the brush barrel. Vary the height at which you hold the brush over the cardstock to get different sized splatters. Move the brush around as well.
Allow the glitter splatters to dry thoroughly before proceeding to the next step.
Adhere the dry embossed, shimmered, and splattered white rectangle to the black rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted rectangle about 1/2" from the bottom. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the black rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Piece of Cake Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the cake with flowers running diagonally across the layers image from the Piece of Cake Set on Block B. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the white strip.
Mount the flower cake topper image from the Piece of Cake Set on Block A. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the white strip.
Unlock the Cake Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped cake image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Holding the Cake Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the Silver Foil Sheets strip into the punch and get it lined up in the cake stand punching area. Punch.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cake stand punch out to the lower left side of the card front so the leg of the stand is centered over the ribbon.
Squeeze the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush barrel fairly hard to get lots of glittery fluid on the tip of the brush. Paint the glittery fluid onto the spray of flowers on the cake image and on the flowers on the cake topper image until you have the coverage you want. Get more glittery fluid on the brush as needed by squeezing the brush barrel.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the glittered cake punch out to the top of the cake stand on the card front.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the glittered floral cake topper by hand.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out, glittered floral cake topper to the top of the cake on the card front.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the center of the cake stand leg.
