F un birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Purple Posy Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Piece of Cake and Delightful Day Photopolymer Sets, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put some paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Place the Mint Macaron card on top of the Grid Paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Mount the confetti image from the Delightful Day Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly across the upper left and lower right corners of the card front as shown. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Unlock the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short edge of the strip of Purple Posy Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the cake with horizontal stripes image from the Piece of Cake Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it on the other end of the vanilla strip.
Unlock the Cake Buider Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide one of the cake images into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Slide the other cake image in, get it centered, and punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use the Purple Posy Marker to color in the horizontal stripes on both cake punch outs.
Mount the cake with happy birthday image from the Piece of Cake Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Slide the Crumb Cake cake image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the three punched out cakes on the punched tag so the top of the tag is on the left. Make sure to leave room below the cakes to stamp the sentiment.
Mount the single-line sentiment of choice from the Piece of Cake Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the tag so it is just under the cake punch outs and centered side to side.
Adhere the two Mint Macaron/Purple Posy horizontal striped cake punch outs to the tag using SNAIL as shown.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the Crumb Cake cake punch out to the tag as shown. VERY IMPORTANT - leave a space at the top of the cake so you can slide the Candle Embellishment in place.
Cut a 5" piece of Purple Posy 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon and an 8" piece of the Mint Macaron Twine from the Nature's Twine.
Slide the Purple Posy ribbon through the top of the tag and get it even. Tie the ribbon in place using the twine tied in a small bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon at angles and trim the ends of the twine.
Adhere the tag to the front of the stamped card in the center so the ribbon is on the left side.
Pick out a silver candle from the Candle Embellishments. Remove the protective backing from the adhesive on the back of the candle and adhere it to the card front so it is sticking out of the top of the Crumb Cake cake.
