Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and glitter paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/8" x 2-7/8" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Black 12" x 12" Glitter Paper
Insert the large (3-7/8" x 5-1/8") white rectangle into the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder so the trees will be embossed vertically on the vertical rectangle with the tops of the trees being near the top of the rectangle. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the center of the large (4" x 5-1/2") black rectangle and then to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
Adhere the small white rectangle to the center of the small black rectangle. Then, adhere the matted rectangles to the front of the card so they are centered side to side and about 3/4" from the top of the card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Perfectly Plaid Set, place the glitter paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image when you stamp.
If needed, ink up the un-inked Craft Ink Pad using the White Craft Ink Refill that comes with the pad. Or, add additional craft ink refill to the pad if you have used it before as the ink does tend to dry out.
Mount the outline leaves Christmas tree image from the Perfectly Plaid Set on Block C. Ink it up with the White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal black glitter paper strip.
Lay the stamped tree image on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some white powder from the Basics Stampin' Emboss Powders so it covers the entire image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Unlock the Pine Tree Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped and heat embossed tree image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the stamped and heat embossed tree punch out to the center of the small white rectangle on the front of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large black star sequin from the sheet of Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the top of the tree punch out.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at the base of the tree punch out.
