Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 squares each 2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 squares each 1" square from Basic White Cardstock
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Pool Party Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub some of the ink off onto Grid Paper. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush over the center of the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" horizontal white rectangle creating a rough oval of color. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
As you are ready to stamp using the Perfect Pomegranate Set or Charming Sentiments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large group of stems and leaves image from the Perfect Pomegranate Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the blended, horizontal white rectangle.
Mount the large, single, whole pomegranate image from the Perfect Pomegranate Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the 2" white squares. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it in the center of the other 2" white square. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the top of the large, single, whole pomegranate image on Block C using the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the 1" white squares so you get the pointy top crown. Re-ink the top of the stamp with the Old Olive Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the other 1" white square so you get the pointy top crown.
Use the brush tip of the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker to color in the entire pointy top crowns on the 1" squares.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the whole red pomegranates cutting off the pointy top crowns.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the colored in Old Olive pointy top crowns cutting off most of the rounded fruit but leaving a tab to use to adhere the pointy top crowns to the backs of the cut out fruits.
Adhere the cut out Old Olive pointy top crowns to the backs of the cut out rounded fruits.
Using Stampin' Seal, adhere one "tomato" to the blended and stamped, horizontal white rectangle so it appears to be hanging from the top, open stem.
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the other "tomato" to the blended and stamped, horizontal white rectangle so it appears to be hanging from the bottom, open stem and overlaps the right side of the first "tomato" a bit as shown.
Mount the sentiment of choice that will fit from the Charming Sentiments Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the horizontal white rectangle as shown.
Adhere the white rectangle to the center of the Real Red rectangle and then to the front of the Old Olive card.
Cut a 3" piece of the Old Olive ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle at the top of the stamped leaves and stems.
