Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the second largest Stitched With Whimsy Die. Put it on top of the large white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered on the rectangle. Run through the machine.
Note: This die doesn't really cut anything out. Instead, it will add stitching texture to the cardstock.
As you are ready to stamp using the Perfect Pomegranate Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large group of stems and leaves image from the Perfect Pomegranate Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the stitched, vertical white rectangle so the stem is near the stitched corner.
Mount the large hanging flower image from the Perfect Pomegranate Set on Block C. Carefully ink up only the flower (not the stem) by pressing the stamp to the side of the open Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the stitched white rectangle so it appears to be hanging from the end of the top most stem. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the large hanging flower image on Block C by carefully pressing the stamp to the side of the open Real Red Ink Pad so you only ink up the flower (not the stem). Stamp it on the stitched white rectangle so it appears to be hanging from the end of the bottom stem.
Mount the whole pomegranate and halved pomegranate image from the Perfect Pomegranate Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the stitched, vertical white rectangle in the bottom right corner so the bottom and right side of the image overlap the stitches in that corner a tiny bit. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the whole pomegranate and halved pomegranate image on Block D with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small white square so you get the half pomegranate image on the square.
Mount the two half moons of pomegranate seeds image from the Perfect Pomegranate Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the half pomegranate image stamped on the white square.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Lovely You Set on an appropriate size block. Make sure the sentiment you choose will fit on the stitched white rectangle without being covered by the half pomegranate image. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the stitched, vertical white rectangle so it overlaps the left side of the solid pomegranate image a bit and is just above the stitching. It's okay if it overlaps the stitching on the left edge a bit. Just be sure it won't be covered by the half pomegranate image.
Cut a 3" piece of the Old Olive ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon at an angle across the upper right corner of the stamped and stitched, vertical white rectangle. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Real Red card.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the half pomegranate image stamped on the white square by hand.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out pomegranate half in place over the top of the half pomegranate stamped on the card front.
Cut a 3" piece of the Old Olive ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front. Tie in place with a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 jewels from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front around the flowers as shown.
