Project Recipe
Score an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Thick Basic White cardstock at 4-1/4" on the 8-1/2" side. Fold the cardstock in half along the score line to create the card base. Adhere a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock to the card front using MultiPurpose Liquid Glue. Set card base aside.
Place the stencil onto a craft mat or a piece of scrap paper, securing it with low-tack tape over a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White cardstock. With the stencil and cardstock firmly in place, use a blending brush to apply Orchid Oasis ink in a swirling motion. Blot excess ink onto scrap paper, then gently swirl the blending brush over the stencil from the left-hand side to the right-hand side. Begin with more ink and pressure on the left, gradually reducing both as you move to the right of the card to achieve an ombre effect, as shown in the photo.
Load ink onto a sponge dauber and gently dab it onto random areas of the stencil to darken and add depth to specific sections. After applying the ink and achieving the desired effect, carefully remove the stencil. Now, adhere the stenciled background to the card front using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.
Stamp sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set onto a 1/3" x 3-1/2" piece of Orchid Oasis cardstock with VersaMark ink. Sprinkle stamped sentiment with white embossing powder, shake off the excess powder, then heat using the Heat Tool. Set sentiment tag aside.
Take a small blending brush and gently swirl Orchid Oasis ink over the top of two butterflies from the Paper Butterfly Accents. Once done, arrange the butterfly die-cuts, along with the sentiment tag, onto the card front as shown in the photo. Adhere them securely in place.
Adhere three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to card front as shown in photo.
