Project Recipe
This card cases the card on page 83 of the 20-21 annual Stampin' Up! catalog
Cut Whisper White thick card stock 5.5 x 8.5, score at 4.25 and fold to make a side fold A2 greeting card.
Cut Petal Pink card stock 4 x 5.25 and attach to card front
Cut Peony Garden designer series paper 3.5 x 4.75 and attach to card front centering it onto the Petal Pink layer
Cut Soft Suede card stock 1.5 x 4, use the border die from Prize Peony bundle to trim off one end. Stamp the sentiment from the Prize Peony stamp set with Early Espresso ink, attach the sentiment to the card front with dimensionals approximately 1" from the left edge
Cut a piece of Whisper White regular card stock 8 x 3.25 and use the peony builder dies and two part leaf dies to cut out three leaves, three leaf accents and the four flower pieces as well as one stamin piece.
Use a brush and petal pink ink to add color the the flower pieces, use Pear Pizzazz ink to color the leaf and leaf accents keeping the leaves darker and the accents lighter, use Bumble Bee to add color to the stamin.
Use Zig two way glue pen to attach the leaf accents to the leaf bases
To build the flower slide the smallest part into the next size up so that the base of part one is behind part two, tack in place with a mini glue dot.
Next, slide the two part piece into the third largest layer and then that into the fourth or last layer. bend petals to give accent and add more color if needed.
Place a glue dot on the end of the stamin and slide it into place.
Attach the leaves to the back of the flower with mini glue dots and then attach the flower with dimensionals.
See my video for pictoral instructions on how to build the flower.
