Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Just Jade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of groups of small animals building a snowman on pale blue background design from Penguin Playmates 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the design is horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
Place the piece of Penguin Playmates Designer Paper on the Paper Trimmer horizontally so the left short edge is on the 2-9/16" mark. With the arm of the Paper Trimmer up, move the cutting blade down to about the 5" mark. Close the arm of the Paper Trimmer onto the paper. Cut up from the bottom of the paper about 1".
Carefully fold the left bottom edge up from the top of the cut to the bottom edge making a rough triangle. Use a Bone Folder to get a sharp crease.
Carefully fold the right bottom edge up from the top of the cut to the bottom edge making a rough triangle. Use a Bone Folder to get a sharp crease.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the designer paper with the bottom edges folded up on the Balmy Blue rectangle so it is centered.
As you are ready to stamp using the Penguin Place Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Penguin Place Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it along the bottom edge of the Balmy Blue rectangle so it is centered in the triangle formed by the folded up designer paper edges.
When happy with the stamping, adhere the designer paper rectangle in place to the stamped Balmy Blue rectangle.
Adhere the layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle to the front of the Just Jade card.
Put a little dab of adhesive on the undersides of the folded up designer paper edges and adhere in place.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Just Jade & Gold 3/8" Braided Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at the top of the triangle formed by the folded up edges of designer paper.
