Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 5-1/4" of red plaid with white snowflakes design from Peaceful Prints 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3" square from Be Dazzling 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
- 2-3/4" square from Soft Suede Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- scrap cardstock or paper large enough to punch the deer image out using the Deer Builder Punch
Adhere the strip of Peaceful Prints Designer Paper to the center of the large rectangle of Soft Suede. The left and right edges will line up.
Adhere the Soft Suede/designer paper rectangle to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 2-7/8" diameter. Put it on top of the Be Dazzling Specialty Paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Pick out the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-3/8" diameter. Put it on top of the Soft Suede square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the Soft Suede circle cut out to the center of the Be Dazzling scalloped circle cut out.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the layered circles to the front of the card in the center of the designer paper strip.
Unlock the Deer Builder Punch. Punch a deer from the scrap of cardstock or paper. Keep the scrap with the punch out of it and throw away the punched out deer. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the solid, jumping deer with words on it image from the Peaceful Deer Set on Block D. Place the scrap with the deer punched out of it on top of the stamp so it outlines the stamp. If necessary, slightly reposition the legs so they fit inside the punched out area. Remove the scrap of cardstock or paper (keep it in the box with the stamp set if you want to use on future projects).
As you are ready to stamp using the Peaceful Deer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Ink up the solid, jumping deer with words on it image on Block D using the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip. Leave room to punch it out.
Holding the unlocked Deer Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped deer image into the punch and get it centered in the deer punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the deer punch out to the center of the layered circles on the card front.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2" Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the top of the layered circles.
