Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pacific Point Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Pacific Point Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Basic White Cardstock (or use scrap cut from 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White rectangle using Layering Diorama Die)
- 1" square from Basic White Cardstock (or use rest of scrap cut from 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White rectangle using Layering Diorama Die)
- 1/2" x 3-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Pick out the die that is 3" x 3-7/8" from the Layering Diorama Dies. Put it on top of the horizontal 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is in the lower right corner of the rectangle. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the large horizontal rectangle with the cut out in the corner for this project. Use the cut out piece for a later step.
Put the Basic White rectangle with the hole cut out of it on top of the Pacific Point horizontal rectangle. Pick out the die that is 1-3/8" x 2-9-1/16" from the Layering Diorama Dies. Put it on top of the Pacific Point rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered inside the white rectangle cut out. Remove the white rectangle. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the large horizontal rectangle with the cut out in the corner for this project. Throw away the small Pacific Point cut out piece.
Put the Pacific Point rectangle with the hole cut out of it on top of the Bermuda Bay horizontal rectangle on your work surface.
Mount the little fish wrapped in a bow image from the Party Puffins Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp the little fish three times on the Bermuda Bay showing through the hole in the Pacific Point layer. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Put the stamped fish on the Bermuda Bay rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends to color in the bows on the fish.
Put the Silicone Craft Sheet on your work surface. Working on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet for the next couple of steps will keep your project from adhering to your work surface.
Put Stampin' Seal on the back of the white rectangle around the edges of the hole cut out. Adhere the white rectangle to the cut out Pacific Point rectangle so the holes line up. If needed, use Paper Snips to cut off excess Pacific Point cardstock showing around the outside edges of the white rectangle.
Put Stampin' Seal on the back of the cut out and layered white/Pacific Point rectangle around the edges of the hole cut out. Adhere the layered rectangles to the fish stamped and colored Bermuda Bay rectangle so the fish are centered in the hole. If needed, use Paper Snips to cut off excess Bermuda Bay cardstock showing around the outside edges of the white rectangle.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Daffodil Delight strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Party Puffins Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched yellow strip closer to the notched end with the notch on the right side.
Adhere the stamped sentiment banner to the upper left corner of the layered white rectangle. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess Daffodil Delight cardstock on the left edge.
Put Stampin' Seal on the back of the cut out and layered white/Pacific Point/Bermuda Bay rectangle with sentiment banner punch out attached. Adhere the layered rectangles to the front of the Pacific Point card.
Mount the puffin with a party hat on image from the Party Puffins Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2" x 3" white rectangle. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the puffin with a party hat image on Block D using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad so you ink up the party hat. Stamp it in the center of the 1" white square or on one end of the white piece cut from the center of the white rectangle earlier using the Layering Diorama Die.
Mount the dancing puffin image from the Party Puffins Set on Block C. Ink it up using the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/4" white square or on the other end of the white piece cut from the center of the white rectangle earlier using the Layering Diorama Die.
Put the stamped puffins and party hat images on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color in the puffins' beaks, feet, and legs
Use the Light Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to outline the puffins' eyes.
Use the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color in the dots on the puffin with the party hat and the pompom on top of his party hat.
Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the puffin's party hat.
Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the dots and pompom on top of the extra party hat.
Use the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the extra party hat.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the colored puffins and party hat images by hand.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the puffin wearing the party hat cut out to the front of the card in the lower left corner so he overlaps the lower left side of the diorama cut outs a bit.
Place the colored dancing puffin cut out upside down on your work surface. Place the colored extra party hat cut out upside down on the puffin's head. Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the hat to the top of the puffin's head. Put more Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the dancing puffin and use them to adhere him to the front of the card in the upper right corner so he overlaps the upper right side of the diorama cut outs a bit.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 rhinestones from the sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the pompoms on the puffins' party hats.
