F un card perfect for a Valentine or just to say hi anytime using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1.2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Place the Cherry Cobbler rectangle into the Quilt Top Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Cherry Cobbler layer to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Mount the panda holding a letter image from the Party Pandas Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Whisper White square. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it onto a Post-It Note near the top of the Post-It. Leave the stamp on the block.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the panda image stamped on the Post-It Note so you are just a hair inside the lines of the stamped image.
Place the Post-It Note panda over the panda stamped on the white square.
Re-ink the image with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it on the left side of the Post-It Note covered panda on the white square at a slight angle. Re-ink the stamp again and stamp it on the right side of the Post-It Note covered panda at a slight angle.
Peel up the Post-It Note. Put it back in the case to use on future projects.
If needed, use the Basic Black Marker fine tip to fill in any areas that didn't stamp well because of the masking.
Use the fine tip of the Cherry Cobbler Marker to color in the hearts on the letters the pandas are holding.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Use the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Marker to color in a shadow under the pandas.
Adhere the pandas square to the front of the card so it is centered on the left and right and about 1/2" from the top of the Cherry Cobbler layer.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Insert the strip of Whisper White into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "Hi" sentiment on Block A. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp onto the Grid Paper to make sure it is straight and right side up. Then, re-ink and stamp on the punched strip of white with the notch at the bottom about 1/4" up from the notch.
Use Paper Snips or the Stampin' Trimmer to trim off about 3/8" at the top of the sentiment banner.
Cut a 5" piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon.
Wrap the ribbon around the top of the sentiment banner and tie it in place with a simple knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Adhere the sentiment banner with the ribbon on it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals so the top half overlaps the bottom left side of the pandas square and is about 1/4" from the left side of the pandas square.
