T his adorable card I cased from Jo Anne Hewins. Her design was just too cute not to make, but with my own twists. Made with a Sale-A-Brations stamp set that you can earn for free with a purchase of $50 or more.
Project Recipe
Here are all the supplies you need:
Whisper White card stock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and fold with your bone folder.
White with green crackle Color Theory DSP cut to 4" x 5 1/4".
Green graduated color with white stripes from the Color Theory DSP,. cut 6 pieces vertically in 1/4" strips the length of the paper.
Since I didn't have a good leaf die, I used the leafs from the December-Flora & Flutter Paper Pumpkin kit.
Take an extra piece of Whisper White Card stock and stamp the 3 pandas, and an extra one of the balloon holding panda. A trick I have found with some stamps, to make them stamp cleaner is to first use Versamark ink, off stamp it once and then stamp on the color. In this case the Black ink.
It should stamp very cleanly. When you use this technique.
After stamping all of the Pandas you need, fussy cut them out using your paper snips. Remember to turn the paper to follow the outline of the bear, not the scissors. You have more control and can get a closer trim that way.
I like to use a Sponge Dauber for the edges of the cut out pieces so they look cleaner. Using black ink carefully to cover any white.
Trim out the leaves from the December- Flora & Flutter Paper Pumpkin set. I used the left over pieces for this card.
Use Snail tape, or liquid glue to adhere the Bamboo, leaves & Pandas as shown to the Color Theory DSP . Its ok to have some overlap the edges.
Trim anything hanging over the edges off. Then center and tape to the front of the Whisper white card.
Now take the remaining Panda, bamboo and leaves and adhere them to the inside of the card as shown. Stamp the sentiment of your choice in the middle. I used 'have a happy day' from the "Hey, Chick" retired set.
I also stamped a single Panda on the front of the envelope to match.
Hope you enjoy this card.
