Project Recipe
From the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit take one of the luminary bags apart by cutting away about 1/8" from the two side and the bottom.
This will leave the fireworks burst piece that can be used as a stencil. I used the piece from the bag, scanned it into my Silhouette and created a stencil from card stock that would be more sturdy. I create these and provide them to those who subscribe to Paper Pumpkin through me
Use a Note Card from STampin' Up! or create a note card by cutting Whisper White thick card stock 5 x 7, score at 3.5 and fold.
Place the burst stencil on the card front as close to the upper left corner as possible. Using a dauber and Versamark ink pad ink the stencil. (be sure to hold your stencil steady so it doesn't move. I suggest a bit of Tombow Removable adhesive on the back would help hold it in place. Also, remember to use the embossing buddy on the card front before you begin.
Once the versa mark is done sprinkle with Silver embossing powder and heat set it with the heat tool.
Now, take the same stencil lay it over the silver embossing and then slightly turn the stencil so the silver is covered, this will off set the design.
Next use a sponge dauber or brush and Blackberry Bliss ink pad to color in the stencil.
Remove the stencil and add Wink of Stella to the Blackberry Bliss pieces.
Stamp the "stem" from the kit with Old Olive ink. I curved the stem on the block.
Stamp the "fireworks" stamp using it like leaves with Old Olive as shown.
Stamp two fireflies with Blackberry Bliss, color in their tails with Daffodil Delight marker and add a dab of wink of stella to their tails as well
Stamp the sentiment from Butterfly Gala with Blackberry Bliss
Inside the card I stamped the firefly in the top right corner and then added hash marks like it was flying up the side of the card.
