P retty fall card with gold accents using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and foil sheet pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Peekaboo Peach Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Tangerine Tango Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1/2" x 5-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 1" x 5-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Gold Foil Sheets
- 2-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- three points snipped out of gold Foil Snowflake
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Painted Harvest stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Be sure to place a piece of scratch paper between the mat and the cardstock if you will be stamping off the edges of the cardstock so that you don't get ink on the mat.
Mount the larger, less detailed flower petal ring image on Block D. Ink it up with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the large vanilla strip so some of the petals go off the top and left edges a bit. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it again just below and slightly to the left of the first image. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it again just below and slightly to the right of the second image. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the stamp with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" square of vanilla cardstock.
Mount the slightly smaller, more detailed ring of flower petals image on Block D. Ink it up with the Tangerine Tango Ink Pad. Stamp it over one of the peach flower petal images you already stamped. If desired, rotate the stamp just a tiny bit and stamp it again for fuller petal images. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again over the top of another peach flower image. Remember to rotate slightly and stamp again for fuller images. Re-ink a third time and stamp over the top of the final peach flower image on the vanilla strip, rotating slightly and stamping again for fuller images. Re-ink a final time and stamp over the top of the final peach flower image on the vanilla square, rotating slightly and stamping again for fuller images.
Mount the solid flower center image on Block B. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of one of the flowers. Stamp again in the center of the remaining flowers, remembering to re-ink each time.
Adhere the stamped vanilla strip to the 1/2" strip of Cajun Craze Cardstock so only about 1/8" of Cajun Craze shows along the top of the vanilla strip.
Unlock the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Slide one long side of the 1" strip of Cajun Craze Cardstock into the punch so it butts up against the guide at the back of the punch. Punch. Slide the punched cardstock over a little bit and line up the punched area with the silver design printed on the base of the punch. Punch again. Repeat until the entire length has been punched.
Tip: I sometimes find it easier to line things up with this punch if I turn the punch over so I can see the punching area. I then line up the punched areas with the designs of the punch before punching again.
Adhere the punched strip of Cajun Craze to the bottom of the stamped vanilla strip so the lacy design peeks out from behind the vanilla strip.
Adhere the matted vanilla strip to the center of the Tangerine Tango rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of Gold 1/4" Natural Trim.
Lay the trim piece across the vanilla/Cajun Craze/Tangerine Tango layer so it covers the seam between the vanilla and Cajun Craze punched strip. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the trim over. Adhere the ends of the trim in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the layers. Adhere the layers to the front of the Peekaboo Peach card.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Gold 1/4" Natural Trim.
Tie it to the left side of the trim already on the card using a half knot. Trim the ends.
Pick out the "wish" framelit from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits. Place the Gold Foil Sheet rectangle on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the wish framelit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Place the wish cutout upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the wish cutout. Flip the wish cutout over and adhere it to the card front along the bottom edge of the vanilla strip on the right side.
Pick out a gold heart shape from the Metallic Enamel Shapes and adhere it is as the dot on the "i" in the word "wish."
Use Paper Snips to cut out by hand the flower stamped on the 2-1/2" square of vanilla cardstock.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to carefully cut out three points from a gold Foil Snowflake.
Adhere the three points of the Foil Snowflake to the card front so they are just above the "w" in the word "wish."
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out flower to the card front so that it overlaps the end of the word "wish" on the left side just a bit and covers the bottom of the three points of the Foil Snowflake.
