P retty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer vellum, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-3/8" x 5-1/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- square with rose window pattern from sheet of Graceful Glass 6" x 6" Designer Vellum
- 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the "A Reason to Celebrate" sentiment from the Painted Glass Set on Block C. Use the brush tip of the Basic Black Marker to ink up only the word "Celebrate." Breathe on the stamp to remoisten the ink and stamp in the lower left corner of the Pool Party rectangle.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Basic Black strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of cardstock on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Basic Black facing up).
Pick out the long rectangle with small, skinny hexagons thinlit from the Stained Glass Thinlits. Place it on top of the cardstock on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Use Paper Snips to cut the cut out into two pieces so you have one piece that is about 3" long and one piece that is about 2" long.
Tip: You want to cut the cut out into two pieces because it isn't quite long enough to go all the way across the 5-1/4" layer of cardstock. By cutting it into two pieces, you can adhere them in place with a tiny gap between them that will get covered by the main image and still have it look like one long piece.
Peel the protective backing off of the long piece of the Basic Black cut out and adhere it to the stamped Pool Party rectangle about 1" from the top so the left edges line up.
Peel the protective backing off of the short piece of the Basic Black cut out and adhere it to the stamped Pool Party rectangle so it is even with the previously adhered piece and the right edges line up.
Cut a 6" piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock layers so it is centered across the delicate cut out strip. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere the layers to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-15/16" circle. Place the designer vellum square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the rose window image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep the circle framelit out for use in the next step.
Place the white square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Lay the circle of Graceful Glass Designer Vellum upside down on your work surface. Use the Stampin' Blends Markers to color in the rose window.
Use the Dark Calypso Coral Marker on the tiny inner petals around the central circle and on the heart shaped designs near the outside edge.
Use the Dark Rich Razzleberry Marker to color in the large petals.
Use the Light Rich Razzleberry Marker to color in the dots in the heart shaped areas.
Use the Dark Pool Party Marker to color the center circle and the outside edge areas.
Use the Color Lifter Marker as needed to remove stray bits of color.
Use a Mini Glue Dot in the center of the back of the colored rose window vellum circle to adhere the vellum circle to the white circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the circles to the card front on the right side so it is centered over the ribbon and delicate black cut out strip and covers the open space between the two sides of the cut out strip.
Carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Clear Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the rose window circle.
Cut a 4" piece of Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side of the circle image. Tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
