P retty, pearly sympathy card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Tranquil Tide Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the rose image from the Painted Glass Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tranquil Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white square. Set it aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Insert the Mint Macaron rectangle into the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Use the thin line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line up the paper and get it straight. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Mint Macaron rectangle to the Tranquil Tide rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of Tranquil Tide 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the center of the matted, dry embossed Mint Macaron rectangle. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Tranquil Tide rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Mint Macaron card.
Mount the birthday, sympathy, or celebrate sentiment from the Painted Glass Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tranquil Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle near one edge.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the edge of the brush tip of the Mint Macaron Marker to outline the edge of the sentiment circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals near the center of the back of the sentiment circle punch out to adhere it to the center of a Pearlized Doily.
Adhere the doily matted sentiment circle to the front of the card on the right side so it is centered over the ribbon.
Uncurl an Iridescent Boxwood Wreaths Embellishment and cut it into three pieces. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the wreath pieces to the card front so they stick out on the upper right side of the sentiment circle punch out.
Pick out the rose framelit from the Stained Glass Thinlits. Place the stamped rose image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the rose framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to paint the petals of the rose with shimmer.
Use the Mint Macaron Marker to color in the leaves on the rose.
Adhere the colored and shimmered rose cut out to the upper right side of the sentiment circle so it pokes over the edge of the circle a bit and covers the ends of the wreath embellishment pieces.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 small pearls from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card where the lines of the tufting dry embossing crisscross.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Tranquil Tide 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front on top of the ribbon already on the card front on the left side.
